I must missunderstood something. In phase one I lost 3/3 matches. I see myself pited in phase 2, as if those did not mean anything, to have a shot at a bending level in my element. What is the point of phase 1?

What is the point of phase 1?Phase 1 is to gain bending powers in bending elements not your own. If you won a game, you would gain the bending power of your opponent. Phase 2 is to eliminate players and gain power in your own bending element.

Basically, you want to be the first player to reach 10 total bending levels (Air + Earth + Fire + Water) to win the event. Avoiding elimination along the way is alongside that so make sure you don't go 0-2 in matches in the in-element (Phase II) portion of a round.majofa-How did you determine which loser's bracket matchup would have a bye?
