Sup all,
I have a little question about platinum.
I am number 8 now and jappert 9, but he has more losses than me and less wins.
I am 1 day older so its not a rating change.
What is it then?

Did your deck happen to switch Leagues after you posted it?

No, I'm in platinum for a month already I gues.
But may it be that you get more rating when you are younger, so that he had more fights in the first 3 days than me?
In thats case it is possible.

That sounds weird.
they can better give older decks more rating because they have lesser HP

I believe that the score you get for each win and each loss is so that everytime someone submits a new deck, it starts around position 250 with 0 score. So, if people around position 250 have a higher score than 0, the losses will start taking more points, and if people around 250 have lower score, it will start giving higher score.
Zanz made this so you can't get autokicked of arena when you submit.
Correct me if im wrong, but i think Jappert got his wins with a more favourable ratings.

EDIT: I see you say you're 8 and Jappert is 9, why wouldn't it make sense you had more wins and less losses?

It shows Jappert at number 8 for me now with both players having the same score.  Is this the same for everyone else?

It is here.
So I understand that you get more rating in the beggining?
So jappert had more fights on his 0 day?

Switching league is not possible anymore since zanz has deemed that as a bug and he already fixed that.

Remember that the rating per win/loss is dynamic. IIRC, Jappert got his first 10-15 wins when the rating was at around 25 rating per win (I had a deck that day which went straight from to rank 60+ with only 9-0 record). Jappert didn't get an insanely amount of plays when compared to others but his deck indeed were among the top to receive play during that day. Currently the rating is merely 7 per win. :|

Yeah, but suxerz, the rating change is for everyone right? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm 4 days old, so I shoul've picked that up.
Btw, we just switched places..still same rating of 492

Yes, the rating applies to everyone in the same league. What I'm trying to say is win/loss ratio doesn't mean much. The rating is what determines the rank. Thus, in this case it just happens that Jappert got his wins when it was more "valuable" and got his loss when it was less "devastating".

As for how the rank is sorted when same rating occurs, I don't know about that. But I don't think it matters unless we're looking at rank 1 & 2 (though come to think about it, it's potentially be a problem but I guess that's off topic)

the ranking is based on rating, and rating additions/subtractions are dynamic.  Your deck may have had dozen wins with ratings gains of 8 per win (example) while his deck got a dozen wins at a different time, when the rating gains were higher, say 11 per win.
