I'm addicted to The Arena.  It's seriously a problem.  I think it's flawed in many ways, and I will generally just quit if I see and entropy or fire mark come up, but I can't stop playing it.  It's destroying my score, and fattening my wallet.  You would think that with the number of times I have gotten three wins in a row in Gold, only to lose on the fourth would have driven me away.  Not so!  It just drives me to get that next 4 win streak (which have been suprisingly sparse lately).  It's those damn EMs for 300+ ele!  Everytime I get one of those, it just feeds my addiction.

EXACTLY how I feel.  Same goes for 2 wins in Platinum, and losing the 3rd.

Welcome to behavioral science.  The entire game of Elements is designed to get you to return.  The slot-machine effect of the spins is no coincidence -- it's addicting in exactly the same way that gambling in Vegas is addicting.  The Oracle, the special spins in the Arena, it's all a giant addiction machine.

I thought you get the same score as you do electrum. so how is it destroying your score and fattening your wallet?

I find myself addicted to Arena as well. it gives the fun of t50 and the rewards of FG farming.

They did a very good job indeed, like Essence already said, the spins are a good way to get people addicted.
But yeah im having the same problem, even though I don't take it as a problem

Yes, but you thankfully the game doesn't take away electrum when you lose.  It does, however, take points away from your score for a loss.     Winning about 30% on Plat can give you a nice boost to your electrum, but is surprisingly hard on your score.  And yet, still I can't stop...

When I first started playing the game I RQ shortly  after a really long losing streak to AI3. This was back in v1.15 though, so the Elders back then were easy.

I quit for about a week and then found myself back on Kongregate playing the game again. xD The addictivness of it was incredible.

you actually have two problems.

for the first problem, you need to quit.  you cannot handle the responsibility of being an all powerful elemental force.

your second problem is figuring out how to transfer your cards to my deck stash...

I can now empathize with this. I spent hours last night trying to get a spin out of Silver, consistently losing every 5th match like clockwork. It was unbelievable. I was about to ragequit...

then I saw how much freaking MONEY I had made.

Then it turned into a happyquit

I don't care abou tthe slot wheel for when you win. it's nice, but I'm not going to be winning any card i can't just buy, or win a rare often enough to get me excited over it. I go for the money alone, and the fun of seeing different kinds of decks.
