Also, if your deck falls below the top 500 in rank, you cannot modify the deck anymore; only an active deck can be modified.  If your deck falls below 500, you have to use build deck and make a new one, and you might have to wait for the next oracle spin if this happens.

As I said before I am able to modify not active deck but I've just confirmed one more thing - I do not "have to" build a new deck as the deck sometimes can indeed come back to T500. I have deck which I left intentionally after its drop below T500 and now I see it is fighting and winning again in T500.

The rating of your deck can be found on the Arena page, in the column that starts with Electrum earned:
You can calculate the number of ups and downs your deck has by using the total electrum it has earned.
Electrum earned = (# Thumbs down games * value of thumbs down) + (# thumbs up games * 2* value of thumbs down games)
# Thumbs down games + # Thumbs Up games = Total Wins

As you are given electrum earned, total games, and the value of thumbs down, you can calculate the number of ups and downs your deck has received, as long as it has not entered top 10.

And... what's going on then? Any descriptions? It seems that top 10 really messes these calculations... :/

The value of thumbs down would be... for bronze, 2, silver 3, gold 5, plat 10. I remember a thread about on it, somewhere.

Well, it was true for some time and was indeed 5 in gold but now it seems I am getting 9 in gold?

Me have a question about this rating system in the arena. I created an arena deck and it wins the first game. How it becomes that it got a -20 rating after the win? Even after 3 wins and 1 lose it had still a -6 rating while some other decks have +16. And how can a deck get with more wins (40) than losses (33) a -106 rating? How is the rating system exactly working?

Rating depends on the league you're in. The higher the league, the higher the ratio of wins to losses you need to equilibrate at 0.
Higher league = more rating lost per loss.

And Lex, I believe the top 10 decks are *2 for ranks 8 - 4, *6 for rank 3, * 8 for rank 2, and * 10 for rank 1, but I'm not sure if those are accurate.

But still strange that if the arena deck wins against a player that it still result in a quite big loss of rating for that deck.

Wins should not result in a negative rating- I believe we did have that problem, for a while, though- it was discussed in the 'report a bug' section on several threads. However, any league higher than bronze should need more wins than losses to stay in positive rating.

I think my purple nymph deck had a low 10 rating? when it was at 19-6. (all thumbs down?) Oh well. I took it down cause I got cloak as an oracle card

Usually, the latter is several times greater than the former, especially as you're promoted through the leagues.

Is it correct that amount of rating gained/lost is changing over time? I'm talking about that same deck over a few days.

Yes, it is always changing. I'm not sure why, but I believe it has something to do with ensuring that new decks enter at around 250 or volume of plays.
