Making arena decks designed to last forever https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=37089.msg465317#msg465317
« on: February 28, 2012, 12:59:43 am »
Well a while ago I was looking at the leaderboard in gold and and I saw that the 4th deck was in the arena for 28 days, and I thought, omg!  :o so I was wondering if someone could think of a deck designed to last and post it here.
Hey there

Make it very powerful, fast, have 200hp, and just...be lucky. That's the most important part.

Why would hp matter? I mean, 20 days worth of its battles were fought with 1 hp with a win rate high enough to keep it in top 4...

Could be just luck that nobody's fought it, or perhaps someone goes to fight gold and loses to that deck on purpose? It's probably just haven't had many fights. It's not that uncommon to have a good deck last days even with 1hp due to not getting that many matches.

I've had some good arena decks get wins even with 1hp left.  (and lost to a few but we won't mention that! :p)  One good trick is to add a bunch of shards of divinity when your arena deck's hp is getting low and hope it gets a few of them out quick.  I actually had a poison deck with twelve -shard of sacrifice- still winning some of its games while it had 1hp max because it also had 12 shards of divinity :p

When you build an arena deck, you have an option to give it double cards and draw.

Yeah? Well, he's wrong, and you're wrong. Because arena decks have option for double draw (which also doubles all card you have, like FG's deck)

This is something you can do.

You make your arena deck lose a bit, so that it's just out of the arena. (like rank 501-550). Then, eventually, since the the lowest rating possible for arena is variable, your deck will be back in circulation. Of course, it will probably still be very low ranked, and I'm not sure about higher ranked ones.
