yep, it's very hard to keep a deck in the gold arena...
What was the oracle card and deck?
Also I have won 6 games and lost 3 and been kicked out of top 500 before. ( today I figured out a way around this to be honest, it is called being smart and has nothing to do with deck building. )
not revealing my deck, but the oracle card was friendly to newer players looking for rares (I know about the special spin thing), as the deck needs to have 5 eternities...

yep, I got eternity as my oracle card

Seems like it'd be a bad idea to submit your deck before the masses will submit theirs.
Actually, if you turn in your deck earlier and then a bunch of new decks follow, your deck goes UP in ranking even though it's still 0/0 W/L.  Case in point:

Maybe I made my deck too soon. 10 hours, 9-0 score in Gold league. Rank is bad because of the bad luck (?) in getting games.
And because there are so few games, even a single loss now will plummet it into obscurity. Sigh, I was happy when I saw the Oracle card, but that was where my luck ended.

I definitely don't think it's too hard, considering the number of people who want to be in the t500, a minumum of deck building knowledge should be required for those who want to stay in.
Also, regarding the fact that the higher the league, the more false god-like advantages a deck gets, it's normal a deck should have a rather large winning rate to be able to compete, especially in Platinum.

I also don't think it's too hard to play them, up to Gold most games can be won quite easily, and it's normal that the winning rate versus Platinum decks goes down, they are FG decks after all...

arena wont be too hard as long as every new deck starts in the middle rank.  lots of meh decks are added and seem to get priority on being chosen until they have at least 7-10 games.  i would suggest (without proof) that it works like this

assume its platinum.  the first ring i get a new deck to face, under 10 games.  then if i win, i get a deck with over 10 games and ranked 500-100.  if im going for the last ring, top 100.  maybe this is way off, but this is how i imagine it COULD work
Zombie0 gives 110 percent whenever he's in the arena. He's a team player who delivers both offensively and defensively. He has no idea what a Quantum is.

Not that hard but consecutive wins are HARD to obtain! To get all spots lighted requires half hour and lot of luck!

With upped deck, yeah, because the player have the advantage. With unupped deck you really need luck (draws and which deck you face). Still fairly easy though most of the time.

Yes in bronze is indeed easy(but long) to obtain all spots lid.
Ageing decks is the most funny/useful feature.
You can even battle a deck in top 10 with 149wins and then discover that has 1hp because it is 8 days old!
