I'm Impressed! https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=28333.msg362053#msg362053

I am starting to see more and more good decks in the arena, both creative and standard. I am in Gold league, and I was just playing Bronze league to gather stats on a deck. I figured it would be easy EM's and Bonus spins. But I just lost three in a row, and it was fun! Good decks, good challenges, and just plain fun! And each one was completely different. I think it just took a few days of shakedown to get things balanced right.

Gratz to the community! Gratz to Zanz! Way to go to recharge Elements the Game!

Anyone else seeing the same thing? And how many people are playing above or below their league?

Thanks,
LSK Piano

I definitely agree that Arena is amazing and was exactly what elements needed to make things interesting again.  I'd say there are still some balance issues that need to be worked out especially with the level of permanent control available in platinum level decks but overall I'm very happy with things.  I had mostly stopped playing before this, usually doing little more than logging in each day to check the oracle and maybe 1 or 2 fg matches but since Arena was announced, I've hardly stopped playing.

I totally agree with both of you.
Arena made the game 10x interesting and fun!!
I wish they could ban SoGs so that we stop seeing deckout-decks with 12 SoGs and 12 Sanctuaries and everything would be more fun.

Deck # 1: Firestall with 12 SoGs and 12 Sancs.  Awesome *ragequits*
Deck # 2:  Chunky Timebow with 200 HP.  Awesome *ragequits*
Repeat

Hopefully more and more people will go with creative decks, but there will always be a mix of the same old, same old.  That aside, the Arena has been a great addition and I'm sure the False Gods have been very happy that they finally have a break!

Bronze league has some creative decks.
Otherwise:
1) Some immodeck
2) Adrenafrogs
You're just as selfish as I am. You're just not as good at it yet.

I've been playing Platinum and Gold (Gold more lately because wins have been worth more electrum there) and I am seeing predominantly one of two types of decks:

1) Rainbow decks, basically a false god farmer type stall deck
2) Cremation/Lava Destroyer speed deck

I've been using a 500hp EM rainbow deck and it's doing alright.  It often beats deck #1 and most decks other than type #2.  I have trouble sometimes using that deck against the lava destroyer deck, particularly if I get a bad hand or it gets a good hand.  Wins are still possible, just much rarer than other types of decks.

With the new required cards, I haven't been able to submit an average deck yet. So far I've done aether stall (forgot SoGs), fractal retrovirusi and shrieker rush.

Just as i've always tried in t50 i try to make original and challenging decks. My personal preference goes to defensive stall decks. Arena has been great so far and i enjoy the game alot more now!

Yeah, it depends a lot on what card you get.  The first day I got Red Nymph (:D:D:D) which was nice, though not that great to build a deck around, and I think the resulting monofire deck went something like 50-20 over the 3-4 days I left it up.  (I got dumb cards the next few days)  Yesterday I got a bone dragon and made a lava destroyer/cremation deck and snuck in some soul catchers and a death mark so that I could play them, and it's 36-4 so far :)  200hp (well on day 1 anyway), double draw and full upgrade, and only 1x mark.  I did notice when I tested against it that the AI is stupid (who would've thought!) and will play Soul Catcher AFTER Cremation, but whatever, at least on later turns it will benefit.

I have been pressed for time and I have been barely able to farm so I have been building standard decks so far. Also lol I built a firestall once time. I knew it was a little over powered so I made it more CC based than heal based ( OP ). I knew people would beat CC based more than Heal based but yea the deck was fairly powerful. 12 sancs, 12 rage pots, and 12 firebolts is still insane, but I left SoGs out. I did not even bother to balance the deck as it already seemed over powered.

SoG is OP in PvP, and if you don't agree with that then how about SoG is OP in in Arena? I doubt you can disagree with that.... -.-
