Yes, a thumbs up doubles the electrum you earn I believe.

I'm not sure where people are getting that idea. Zanz stated rating a deck up only doubles the amount of rating you get. Has anyone tested the electrum gain or anything I'm not aware of?

I figured this out by deduction. I went from 48 wins and 555 to 51 wins and 650 (that's 95 in 3 wins). First place in Gold earns you 25 , so that's impossible unless my earnings were multiplied somehow. And I was not at number 1 when I had 48 wins.

I'm rank 4 platinum atm, don't really know how much  I gain per win.
And I'm rank 1 bronze atm, and I gain 10 per win, 20 per thumb up.

It does give x2 electrum, I've been specifically using it to count out the ratings my decks have gotten from the userbase, and anybody can check it without too much effort with their own arena decks.

For rank 8 in Platinum I got 20 two times in a row, just for the summary on page 1

Rank 8 Gold, +10 for 1 win... however, I'm not sure if this was
a. done when the deck was at rank 8 or below.
b. thumbs up or down
