My personal experience feels as though it matches your predicted 70% win rate. It feels like I almost always win.

Anecdotally, I've won a few times with AAB by spinning an A that has 3 available spins rather than "wasting" B's final spin. Of course, that's hardly conclusive since we're talking about randomness here. Any wrong strategy can potentially work... sometimes. If you're sure that spinning B is ALWAYS the right option, I can update my tactics.

Of course in silver/bronze you don't want to win a card you already have 6 of, but in Gold/Plat, winning SOMETHING is worth a minimum of 1000 electrum, therefore the True Optimal Path matters.

spinning A on AAB results in making the possible eventual return to spinning B useless or the same as before.
spinning B on AAB leaves AA ready to match with the final version of B

Please, Zanz, tell us how the special spin works (r=4? r=5? can cards be repeated?) so we can try to proove what the best strategy is, for fun. :)
I just realized this topic... im guessing it is still just 4 because thats how many cards the normal spinner can have in it... the really complicated question is if, like how the regular spin can do abcd, or aabc for the cards it chooses, can this one do that as well... Id say its best to assume it doesnt, but we can only hope that it doesnt get more complicated

I have made tests with the (unupped) rare spinner. It has 4 cards.

See also this:

I am not sure if this was asked already but my question is, How are cards picked for the bonus spin? Is it just like regular spins where it picks X amount of cards or is it from all the rares in-game except of cource nymphs/marks. Also from which pool are the cards picked  for the slot change (Where you can change a slot up to 3 times).
Exact same as the regular spins; 4 random rare cards (note that some may be the same). When you respin it picks from those same cards.
