Strategy change

We shoudl use darkentropy VS fire, because KevKev is likely to use fractix as he is the general and can used upped cards.

the dark entropy having more quanta denial, getting aether and fire quanta will be tougher.

We have the inconvenience of facing to 2 biggest vault teams, which means predicting decks will be harder.  I agree that Kev will most likely use fractix and that the rainbow deck is better for it.  When I have time, I will post the remaining decks of fire and entropy.

the chances for the darkentropy deck to win VS entropy are almost none.

Im working on building a rainbow right now, it looks like this so far:

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vh 4vh 4vh 4vl 4vl 4vl 52j 52j 52j 52q 52q 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oo 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5uo
im doing tons of tests, and if it doesnt work as well as the other one i will just stay wit what we had

I think everyone was thinking of them tempting arsenics & flying weapons :) Its smart thing to consider after all.

Few comments:
- First of all, i know you love them but i think devourers lose their value without any fractal / BE / nightfall. I tested this deck and altough i love devourers too, i ended up upset for drawing them. And only 3 is too little for quanta denial without any support cards (like those we have in rainbow deck). I think they don't have place in a flying weapon deck.

- Lycans use the precious darkness quanta (for dusk mantle) and are vulnerable on the first turn.

- 5 cards waiting for :death quanta. I ended up waiting too long with spiders in my hand.

- Giving up BE & chaos seed ends up no creature nor permanent control.

I propose testing something like this;

Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4ve 4ve 4vh 4vh 4vl 4vl 52j 52j 52q 52q 5f6 5oi 5oi 5oi 5ol 5oo 5rl 5uo 5uo
- Replacing a spider & lycan for 2 abominations for higher damage and higher chances to play.
- Adding 1 more quantum pillar.
- Owl's eye against a creature deck (Replacing a discord).
- Deflag for perma control.
- Hourglass to draw cards. But this card is meh.
- I know this time it became shy of :air quanta. But these :air cards are not as immideate as playing :death cards. You can delay playing wings & OE and accumulate :air quanta until you face increasing number of creatures. But a creature such as spider needs to be played asap. What i mean is, being shy on :air quanta isn't as bad as being shy on :death quanta. Flying weapon is important but it is too easy to play. If we add another offensive card, Wings can be thrown away to relieve :air resources anyway, maybe with a chaos seed.

Think about it ji. It should be you who decides your final deck anyway.

hainkarga - I can run some tests with that deck tonight.  My only question would be which cards will he have upgraded?

Edit - Also, do we want to have more than straight 30 card decks to prevent deckout, or are we not concerned about it getting that far?

In any case, flesh spiders and dusk mantles are too good upgrades to ignore. 2 :darkness faster dusk mantle and +3 attack for same :death cost respectively. Second option could be flying weapons. But that is up to ji412jo.

These two teams have some weapons still... This will be a very tough round.

For Fire, I believe our disrupt-bow can take on any of their decks but this one:
Code: [Select]
52q 595 5f6 5f6 5fb 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5i7 5i7 5l9 5l9 5l9 5og 5og 5rk 5ur 61p 61p 61p 61qIf I was fire, this would be the one I would throw at us....  They also have two matches against Entropy, so they might use this deck towards them.   If we face this deck... it will be a battle of who gets the better draws.  The whole disrupt portion to the deck becomes mute... so we lose a lot of leverage.

The rest will be eaten alive by our rainbow, (Fractal-phoenix the next closest match):

Poison-dragon-miracle:
Code: [Select]
52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 542 542 542 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f3 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f6 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5li 5li 5li 5li
Discord-creature hate:
Code: [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vf 4vi 4vi 4vi 4vl 4vl 4vl 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f2 5f2 5f5 5fb 5fb 5fc 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi
Fractal-Phoenix:
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f6 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5f9 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 63a 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds
Their 5th deck is either a suicide, or a compilation on what they won... I am hoping for a suicide to come our way, do to us winning most match-ups just looking at the decks... we'll see.

I agree at using our bow against fire, even tough using the same deck 3 times now will become predictable.  It has a much higher win chance against fire than it does against entropy.

Entropy has so much power still.  Hard to predict what they will throw at us, but I think this deck is a good chance of hitting us again:
Code: [Select]
4ve 4vh 4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vl 4vl 4vl 50u 50u 50u 50u 50u 55l 55t 55t 55t 55t 55v 55v 55v 55v 55v 590 5c1 5ogThe discussion of modifying our 2nd deck into something better is good.  I am not sold on the modifications yet, due to BH from entropy being a heart-stopper for any rainbow... not much we can do.  If we use our entropy-darkness, we get discorded AND black holed.  What we are working on seems to be the lesser of two evils, but I want to make sure it is a good deck before taking out a deck that went 3-0 for us.

Mods to our disrupt-bow, I would like to see 1 more quantum pillar in the deck, and possibly a butterfly effect if we kill our entropy-darkness deck.  If we keep it, a spider i'm thinking.  a 32 card deck is less susceptible to deck-out and if we run into a heavy creature-hate deck, we might run into that scenario.  I am sad we have only 1 CC from it... but nothing we can do to fix that now.

Discuss.

for my deck i say
bring the discord back and kick the owls eye, we need the air quanta too much to be able to stall with wings.

Thank you ak for doing that.  RL is very busy for me, so I didnt have time yesterday to do it.  I think that we dont have  a great chance of beating entropy.  Obviously, putting element vs the same element is a bad idea, seeing that we have lost a few times with that.  So, we must make a rainbow or mix deck from what we have.  I think we should do something like this:
Code: [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vc 4ve 4ve 4vh 4vh 4vi 4vi 4vl 4vl 52j 52j 52q 5f6 5oi 5oi 5om 5oo 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5uoWe are converting 3 pends from one 2, 2 from the other, and 3 of our entropy pillars.  Upped cards could be spiders or animate weapons.
Think you got what it takes?  Test out your skills in some Tournaments! http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,77.0.html
