Just in case they for some reason dont use the nova deck, throw in the discord. It takes up entropy quanta, which we currently use 0 of, and is an extra attacker.
having 3 death cards is an imbalance about the deck, yes. But discord is hardly an "extra attacker" because drawing discord will mean not drawing some other card which could be useful. Like preventing an immolation draw when you could use it to fractal phoenixes. Besides that, discord doesn't stack with arsenic so you can't field it as an extra attacker. If we take discord, it should replace an existing damage card which would probably be arsenic (arsenic > discord damagewise). Second best option is replacing a spider which would mean you won't have it as "extra attacker" but just the opposite; reducing one of existing attackers because you can't use both weapons at the same time. Either way, you reduce your damage unless you replace it with a shield / pillar which i find disturbing. It is potentially a very cool stalling card but a bad damage dealer.
It goes like this;
** Adding discord disadvantages:
- Needs to replace arsenic. Arsenic is much better damage dealer.
- Upset drawing hand if both weapons come in your hand together (if you choose not to replace it with arsenic)
- Useless if you draw it after midgame, which is high likely with only 1 discord. Discord fails at quanta denial at higher quanta amounts. (the reason there are 2+ discords in every deck it is used, to increase early summon)
- They will probably come with some sort of deck that is uneffected by discord.
** Adding discord advantages:
- Slows opponent down if they come with mono / duo quanta usage if you play it early. Earning time to take field advantage, can make us win the match.
- Can potentially prevent the opponent playing 1-2 turns even if they come with a nova deck.
- Easier to summon than arsenic as there are 3 death cards but 0 entropy cards. Making the deck more balanced.
** Going 31+ card to add arsenic & discord both ?
- Advantage: More cards if they come with a stall deck
- Disadvantage: Lower chances to draw required combo cards, increases quanta requirement.
