Deck candidates

Hello,
How about posting deck ideas under this thread ? So we can make a reasonable vault. I suppose rainbow decks suits us more, but keep in mind that our opponents will be expecting us to come with rainbow decks too. Also we might have to discard some cards when we lose, so it is better to take cards as generic as possible and possibly low cost cards so that they can find a room in another rainbow deck too. Also while building decks, keep the 3 card restriction in mind.

* Our opponents are bound with 50% cards of their element. So majority of them are very vulnerable to discord (if we know they won't use cremation deck). I propose taking quite a lot of discords to our vault and making decks with it.

* On round 5, since we will start with 240 cards, we can only make exactly and only 30 card decks for each of our members. Our opponents, knowing this, has a good chance to come onto us with 31+ card decks. So i propose that we make some (at least 4/8) very aggressive decks to break through any stall attempt.

* For the sake of reusability, i believe we should include cheap yet effective cards in our vault such as the following;

So, i propose thinking of decks that has a room for these cards. We have a vault penalty, so i suppose we are expected to build rainbow decks, otherwise we might run into troubles on round 6-7 if we discard cards. hence quantum towers & novas are good as they are more generic.

I think solid, simple decks are our best bet with the 3 card rule.  Decks that do not rely on pulling a specific card, or really any combos.  Decks that just have good card synergy.

My ideas of what could work (Shotgun ideas for types):

Mono:

We need the 8 decks we use to be able to utilize any salvaged cards, and be able to 're-shuffle' our decks between rounds to keep the opponents guessing, so rainbow will totally be some of them. 

I am assuming we are under the 24 of each type of card rule, like the other teams had.  (Conformation?)  This allows us to even if we wanted, build the same deck for everyone (wouldn't that be hilarious!) 8 decks, 3 cards per deck = 24 cards.

Just some thoughts on the whole thing.  I will be looking at the other teams games, the decks they used to try and see where their strengths are, and where their holes are (so we can exploit them!).  I'll also work on fleshing out some of these ideas, hope to get some test decks going today.

Here comes the second one, rainbow leaning towards entropy. I favor this deck as it has discords which are high likely very harmful against our "50% mono card bound" opponents and deck has other reusable generic cards too.

Simple mono darkness.  Slight quantum denial, hax shield, lots of healing, steals, slight creature control.

As for stall, here is a modified version of a deck from war1


Important: The problem with stall decks is that our vault only has 240 cards. If i'm not mistaken, all 8 of our members can make a deck with 30 cards. So we can't really go to our first round with a stall deck which has 30+ cards. Which pose another problem; our opponents will be 100% sure that we will have exactly 30 card decks, so they can face us with 31 card defensive decks. Unless the cards are "shared" in a way that multiple players can use the same cards in a given round. But afaik, this is not the case as i read somewhere that if you don't have enough cards for all members, some people will just have to sit in that round. (Can this issue be cleared if a warmaster reads this post ?)

I believe discord would be one of our obvious strengths. So i have been digging team entropy's decks, and modifying them according to 3 card restriction. I'll be ignoring entropy + graboid decks since 3 nova's are just not enough to satisfy 3 graboids as it is hard to draw such a combo. But Earthquakes can be considered along with a discord deck.

All of the following decks have 3x discords to satisfy god of bad luck and backup against stuff like deflagration. Note that i have tested each of these decks for around 15 minutes each against ai3 and all seem to be fine.

This is a pseudo mono entropy deck. Which we can juggle this or that card around.

This one utilizes lycanthropes. Because Entropy sort of lacks creatures especially with 3 card restriction (can't stack dragons etc) and you can't play lycans in mono. Add in some steals and you have a finely tuned deck.

i think discord/bh will be one of the best option we get, but i think ji will be the best one for this, cause he owns a amber nymph, so he can use the nymph for more bh!

we need against darkness with devourer monodecks! think a liferush is a very good option!

Evil Idea (Totally sarcastic): We "make a mistake" and get a 6 card penalty.  Then we have 24 cards to spread around the other decks to make some more stall decks. 

Why this idea is bad: We would me knowingly causing one of our own to be unable to play the first round.  Since I would not want to sit out after my hard work, I would not want anyone else on the team to sit out either.

As for discord, we need to go and check previous war matches where a deck with Discords had actually lost and won. That way, we will see against which teams we can use it and against whom we better not.

As for the decks i suggest here, i'm doing this in order to populate as many options as we can have. So of course you can go ahead with any deck you like. What we need to be careful about choosing a deck is: "Are we going to be able to reuse the leftover cards in round 6-7 effectively ? ". Because we only have 240 cards and there is a good chance that we will be stuck with vault cards that we can't build enough decent decks with.

If that would be effective for the teams benefit, i wouldn't mind sitting for a round or two. But you see, there is no guarantee that we are going to win with a stall deck. 30+ card stalls just one of the deck types which doesn't really have better chances to win. So there is not much point in strategic lose on purpose.

I had a thought for a lieutenant/general deck, which would be a fallen druid with dissapation field.  I tried this out myself, and it worked quite well.  You use low cost creatures like photons, skeles, and ash eaters.  Mark of entropy with 4-5 entropy pillars, the three druids, shield, discord and the rest quantum pillars.  I dont have the code for it, but i will try to rebuild it.
