The king's logbook :
Day 1 : Everything's going well, we are making good progress. At this rate, we'll reach Aurdinas in no time at all
Day 2 : I ... I may have spoken too soon. We reached the forest and... we lost some of our guys in it. I swear, if they think it's time for hide and seek...
Day 3 : We don't come to this forest often and it holds some mysteries indeed. We found and were attacked by species we have never seen before. One of our new discoveries were strange birds that followed us for a bit, but meant no harm. I also advised my soldiers to tread carefully around large piles of leaves.
Day 5 : We've been looking for our men for the last 3 days. I think we have to give up on them now, because it's this time of the year, when the trees awaken.
Day 6 : Not everybody agreed on giving up on the lost soldiers, so we searched a bit more. But my biggest fear came true, the boggarts awoke, leaving their nests in the trees. The whole forest became a maze. Few men have been known to leave from this forest when this happens, luckily, I am one of the few.
We managed to lose the boggarts... for now. Terrifying.
Day 7 : We found our men. They were being held hostage by a horde of goblins. We made peace, had a majestic banquet, with varieties of food, and they gave us our men back. Now, all that's left to do is to get out of this place.
Day 9 : I see the light! We all rush to the exit, finally escaping this damned forest. The worst is behind us. Now all we need to do is march the same distance fivefold, with 3 days left to reach Aurdinas. I won't have time to write any more into this diary, but the rest of the way is through empty plains, and will hopefully be uneventful.
