Well, I (and pretty much everyone else who follows the Olympics) know who will take the gold in basketball. Since it's the only sport I follow/play, I'm happy that the USA has (by so far that even gold medal long jumpers can't reach it) the best basketball team in the Olympics.
My favorite quote: "The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how good I get, I'll never be as good as a wall."

Canada should've had gold in soccer.  That is all.

Australia didn't do so great this olympics. 7 gold, I think :D

Favourite moment of the olympics as an Aussie fan was getting up at 6 and watching Sally Pearson win gold in the hundred metre hurdles by two hundredths of a second :D
If only they could combine Dota and Elements somehow.... :D

Malaysia got a silver and a bronze. However, the subject should be changed to Olympics 2016

I bet that if you add the medals won by the EU countries, we'll be first in front of China and US.
I also believe that inside EU, France will beat Italy.

The results http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Summer_Olympics_medal_table

France beats Italy 11 to 8 and classes Third in Europe. The 3 first European countries GBR, GER and FRA are enough to take the lead of the world with 29+11+11 = 51 gold medals.

I blame the lack of medals in Pool Swimming.
