I totally agree on roof.. The Heat still needs something to prove... After all, they have a dismal 8-5 8-6 record at the near end of the 1st month of action (Dismal for a roster of their caliber)..
I am also getting sick and tired of their never-ending excuse of "Still knowing each other" and the like.. When will they learn to adjust, when they are just battling for .500?
Their major problem is their lineup.. They don't have a true rebounder. Bosh plays soft basketball (although he still scores 17 a game) and only gets about 7 boards a game.. Now they are in very deep trouble as Udonis Haslem, their leading rebounder (8.2 OFF THE BENCH), got injured and won't play till late February..
Another problem is the point guard spot... They don't have a REAL point guard that plays like a point guard.. Carlos Arroyo doesn't fit. He even dismantle their offensive sets at times, and his mediocrity on long range shots make him a liability when needed to shoot from like 20-23 feet. Maybe Mario Chalmers, but he needs more minutes and he needs to play well on those minutes given to him.. Lastly, Eddie House is a scorer/shooter, not a playmaker...
I liked the article I have previously read about this proposed starting lineup:
PG- Lebron James
SG- Dwyane Wade
SF- James Jones
PF- Chris Bosh
C- Jamal Magloire/Zydrundas Ilgauskas
Lebron at the point may sound absurd, but it some games when he makes those set plays, they execute it very well. The fact that Lebron is a scoring threat, he can dish out more assists in the process. The center position can be switched, but i think Magloire can do better in terms of defensive and rebounding since the scoring part is already beefed up.
For now, House can enter the starting 5 since Wade is still out with that wrist injury..
Edit: The Heat just lost to the Indiana Pacers AT HOME 93-77
