Not sure how many people are from the UK, and of them how many are football fans, but i just wanted to put out there that this is a huge tragedy of one of the very few decent, hard-working, honourable, modest and admirable men in English/Welsh Football. RIP Gary Speed, may whatever drove you to death be with you no more.

A sad story indeed...

He seemed to have a good thing going too: wife, kids, a successful start managing Wales, etc. It is all a bit mysterious and I really hope there is not a more sinister part of the story still to come out.

Depression is something unrelated to success, no matter how success is defined. My ex girlfriend suffered from it for about 3 months, its horrible, even at her lowest points she had no idea why she felt so bad. Its a chemical thing, thankfully she got through it and was never suicidal. Sadly the same cant be said for Gary Speed. My thoughts are for his family.
