No one is going to read this, but I want to highlight how badly the RNG decided to ruin my day.
Round 1: 1world won the coin toss. He put down 4 darkness pendulums, I put down 1 darkness pillar and 1 darkness pendulum. He put down 2 devourers, keeping me at 1 quanta till turn 4, in which he fractal-ed into about 9 devourers. I had 2 devourers and 1 discord in hand... but never had the quanta to play it. I resigned due to it being an inevitable loss.
Round 2: Same as round 1, except I put down 3 quantum sources, he put down two devourers, I put down 1, he put down a 3rd, and again, fractal-ing into a lock at turn 4. I never had the quanta to put out my discord in hand, yet again, even with two pendulums down. Why play to the end when all you can do is nothing?
Round 3: Only actual game. He only got 3 pendulums drawn, so he could only put down 1 devourer to start. Plus, I won the coin toss, so I could play before him. Put out some devourers to even the denial and a discord, was stolen a few turns later. That discord + devourers kept me 1 quanta short of a steal for 4 turns, 1+ quanta short of another discord for 8 turns, and the inability to do anything about the card advantage fractal gave him... I had him down to 8 life with my vampires... but swarms of his vampires brought him back to life.
I had about 15 things going on while playing these games, that is why I forfeited so quickly. Sorry for leaving so abruptly 1world.
