One of the first cards I ever designed for elements, back in 2010, was called Maceration. It cost gravity, and it destroyed a permanent, giving ash eaters a buff. The idea of that is because ash eaters eat ash, so they eat the shredded permanent. I've evolved this idea into a series that focuses on the use of a single card called Sand.

This series has about 12 cards. I'll add more eventually.

Note: Whenever a card says "Sacrifice Sand" or would otherwise target Sand, it targets randomly.

Otherwise, this does exactly what you think it does. The idea is you're using sand to incubate antlion eggs... and it goes horribly wrong.

Really nice series. The only thing which I see is Sand being too time-centred, but aside from that it's good!

This set is actually REALLY silly when you think about it.
It's basically pseudoquanta; You're using another resource to activate abilities and stuff.
So, of all the things to use as a resource... Crystals, more energy, insanity, Small Children...
Why sand of all the things?

I specially like the  :death one, as it makes a huge buff to kitten decks.
I like the death one too.
It's self-sufficient, which I would like more of these cards to be.
