But as a passive ability then. I still think it should produce water quantum. Light has RoL, Darkness has Devourer, Fire has Brimstone Eater, Earth has Gnome Gemfinder, Air has Damselfly.

I suppose. The only problem is that the majority of the ants have either offensive abilities to defend the colony (:fire ant, :death ant, :gravity ant, :darkness ant, or :entropy ant), or directly influence the colony due to numbers (:light ant, :air ant, :life ant, or :earth ant), and in a spare case such as :aether ant. If you could think of a way that the :water ant could aid the colony or at least offer some benefits to the owner, that would be great. Even an offensive creature wouldn't be hated.

What about a new permanent: Foodstorage. It'd generate 4 random quantum every turn, but only for elements that are presented by at least one ant of the respective element on your side of the field. It'd cost 3|2 earth I think.

 :water ant should either have the ability to freeze one enemy creature when dealing damage to the opponent (25% chance) or freeze a creature for sacrificing.

Ants in the real world do not take to water well in liquid form. Ice and snow are deadly to ants but not as fatal.

How about a cold resistant ant. This kind of ant would be able to live in colder climes and be able to use permanent ice as building material for colonies.

So:
Arctic Ant
Casting Cost: 3|2  :water
Effect: some effect based on the number of frozen creatures [Ice blocks]
Perhaps "Ants gain +0|1 per 2 frozen creatures. Multiple Arctic Ants stack"

Don't forget there are ants that can pass a whole ocean to find a new home. They swim on the surface.

But seriously, why do you care about reality that much? I don't think there are that many dragons out there, or do you?
