thanks for the help guys. Now I want your feedback on something: I'm thinking that some of these cards will be kinda dull and without strategic possibility once developed. Therefore I have devised a card idea that allows you to generate one of these cards by fusing (sacrificing) two pillars of different elements to get the resulting para-elemental creature. We'll just call this card 'Fusion' for ease in an example: Bob is playing Jill and bob has a earth-fire duo deck, he uses both stone pillars and fire pillars. Bob plays fusion and sacrifices two pillars of different elements, in his case it would be a stone pillar and a fire pillar, Bob then loses those pillars, but in return the Lava para-elemental creature is sent into play. Of course this will work the same for Jill as well. However, if Jill has a mono-life deck (for example), and plays fusion, she cannot use fusion because she only has one type of pillar. Now if Jill tries to select one of Bob's pillars along with one of her own, then the card disappears and the quanta spent on fusion is lost, but no pillars are lost and no para-elemental cards are played. (meaning don't use other players' pillars) It would be almost the equivalent of playing an unupped shard except the card goes *poof* and disappears. On the other hand, a more strategic way of using fusion would be in a scenario where Jill has a mono fire-rush deck with fire lances/fire bolts and lots of pillars. She can play fusion and select Bob's pillars (both must be bob's for this to work) and the respective para-elemental card will be played to his side of the field. Then, in the same turn, Jill can use fire bolt/lance to destroy said para-elemental card and BAZINGA! Jill has destroyed 2 pillars in 1 turn without using deflag. This can work the same way with any deck except if the opponent has a rainbow (meaning quantum towers in which case....I don't really know what should happen) or a mono deck. You can also use fractal on the resulting para-elemental creatures, but I'll tackle that some other time.
This card, Fusion, would be an 'other' type card and cost X quanta (X=TBA, please give me some ideas with this). The amount of quanta used on this card should not be too cheap, but not too expensive, I'm thinking somewhere in the 3-5 range. This card will be the equivalent to a named card in the chart above.
I have also foreseen a big confusion with pendulums if fusion is developed and used. To clarify confusion that hasn't happened yet: Pendulums can not be a part of the fusion equation, only pillars/towers can be used for the para-elemental creatures are the equivalent of two pillars in one creature.
Regarding unupped and upped versions of cards. Take a deep breath and try to understand what I am about to explain to you:
Bob and Jill are playing, and Bob has his usual fire-earth duo deck. Bob plays an unupped fusion and selects a (pay attention to the words) fire tower and stone pillar, the unupped para-elemental, Lava, is played because he was not using an upped fusion and did not select two upped pillars. The same would happen if he was using an upped fusion because he does not select two different upped pillars. The only way an upped para-elemental creature can be played with fusion is if an upped fusion is used on two different upped pillars (aka towers).
*sigh* Okay, you can exhale now. XP
Next! The use of fusion on quantum towers.....I haven't really figured that out yet....
Lastly, if (and that's a BIG if) these cards make it into the game, then each para-elemental card will be available for purchase @ the bazaar meaning fusion is not a necessity. But if you are a more strategic player then fusion will be the better card to have as it can adapt to changes in the situation.
Thanks for all your help guys! I'm going to try and get this topic more public and talk to Kuro and Kael Hate maybe. I'm also going to try and get SG to move this to the series board, but since she's busy with War; I don't know how fast, if it does happen, it will go.
