Really good job Oldtrees. Nice mechanic.
There are more tactics that could be used in this cards or in other series (applied to a creature with ambush).
2- Poisoned attack (spell): target creature with ambush passive skill gains "add 1 poison damage after each succesful attack"
2- Ride by attack (permanent): your weapon gains ambush and a second attack
2- Charge (spell): target creature with ambush loses ambush but gains +5/+0 and a poison counter.
1- Smart retreat (spell): your creatures don't attack this turn but gain ambush
1- Sargeant (creature): spawn a 2/2 soldier with ambush.
Wow. Great additions.
Now I will need to divide the ideas into

Type 2: Expanding on the mechanic

[This would be all the cards that would work and be balanced by themselves. The goal of these cards is for Zanz to think they are neat/hear a great roar of approval such that 1 gets added.]

[This would be all the cards that require other cards with ambush to already exist to make sense/be balanced. The goal of these cards to allow Zanz a place to look for inspiration on expanding the usage of Ambush in the game once/if added.]

We have to be very careful with which elements can hand out ambush.
Death and Time should not be able to do so in mono. (That would be too cheap a scorpion buff or too expensive an ambush card)
However what about sacrifice representing a posses mechanic?

Spear Formation is a new mechanics that represents the coordinated push through the opponent's defenses.

Mechanic
Type: Active/Activated
Card Text: Creatures in Spear Formation attack as one.
Effect: When activated the creature that previously activated Spear Formation this turn will not attack. This creatures current attack increases by the current attack of the creature that previously used Spear Formation this turn.

@Nepycros
Bullet Ant should gain the ability
0: Spear Formation: Creatures in Spear Formation attack as one.
or
 :gravity: Spear Formation and gain Momentum for the turn. Creatures in Spear Formation attack as one.


@Oldtrees: or even you could have a darkness card named Traitor (or an ability with this name) that could target one ambush creature to deal damage to its owner. That would fit in the tactical/ambush concept.
We do not want to have cards be too specific such that their used is unnecessarily constrained. A Traitor [cause target creature to attack its owner] card would fit well in the 2nd Ambush series as part of this Tactics Set.

I will continue to format these ideas into the 4 series. It may appear slow but please keep up the suggestions. Also please comment on the two Ambush threads already created [Land Wyrm and Swamp Gator].

However I will not add a third series mechanic until we are much further on these two.
