ART: Werdbooty IDEA: Werdbooty NOTES: So yeah, this is obviously just a play off the Land Wyrm. Just an idea to get your brains working. And yeah, it's not a wolf, but I've always thought of wolves as a Light or possibly Darkness creature. SERIES: Ambush!

It isn't the copyright you have to worry about. Everything becomes copyright of the creator the instant its created. Its CRC and trademark you need to worry about.

Regardless of copyright or trademark, any art you see in any of my cards started as stock photography, generally on clip art or sites such as istock. I believe that's where these gators came from. Then I run them thru the paint program on my computer, as well as at least 1 or 2 different photo manipulation sites, such as Picnik or Befunky.

Glad you liked it, btw I'll see if I can't come up with something for any of the other marks, if that's cool.

If you can come up with ways that make sense and are different mechanically than the ones so far that would be great.

That would be different indeed (1 of three requirements)
It would fit as a death mechanic (2 of three)
Can you think of a creature that would do that or some other explanation?

i cant think of a creautre but i can think of a type of human, a decoy should work fine

Decoy could work.
Wait. If I change Darkness to Decoy "0:Target creature gains Ambush for the turn." then the "vanilla" ambusher slot would be available. Wights are intelligent undead that attack in groups (even from graves) so they fit.

The rewinding was representing time traveling to gain more time.

Excellent series, and I really like the mechanic.  Makes perfect sense thematically.

Really good job Oldtrees. Nice mechanic.
There are more tactics that could be used in this cards or in other series (applied to a creature with ambush).
- Poisoned attack (spell): target creature with ambush passive skill gains "add 1 poison damage after each succesful attack"
- Ride by attack (permanent): your weapon gains ambush and a second attack
- Charge (spell): target creature with ambush loses ambush but gains +5/+0 and a poison counter.
- Smart retreat (spell): your creatures don't attack this turn but gain ambush
- Sargeant (creature): spawn a 2/2 soldier with ambush.
