Seism has no permanent removal, he cannot steal or deflag.  Nor does he have any creature removal, so you do not have to take toughness into account for creatures.  cheap creatures who do lots of damage could be good.

Here is just an idea for you to work with, a deck I constructed but haven't tested vs. seism.

Size: 52 cards, entropy mark (smaller might be better, although I think big decks can do well because you outlast the earthquake and get some towers to stay out)

Quantum
14 towers
6 Supernovas

Creatures
2 fallen druids (mutation is powerful, same color as your mark so quantum isn't an issue)
2 werewolves (color of your mark also, a cheap 6/6 that seism will use time reversal on)
2 otyughs (need to get rid of seisms creatures to survive)
2 Elite Graboids (4 earth quantum and 1 time quantum for 10 dmg)
1 Elite Queen

Permanents
3 feral bonds (they can help you stay alive big time)
2 boneyards (elite skeletons are just as useless as normal skeletons if Seism gets a diamond shield out, boneyard is cheaper, and gives mutation fodder and healing with bond)
1 arsenic (not sure on this, but arsenic can be the single most damaging weapon in the game, and it is only 2 poison quantum.  Another possibility is discord, 6 damage and messes up his quantum.  It could slow him down big time, or shut him down if you get it early)
2 bonewall (best defense if you get it out with Otyugh and firestorms, although it can and will fall fast otherwise to elite graboids and company)
1 dusk shield (not sure on this, but for 4 dark quantum you get an economic shield that can buy you time, stopping 50% of attacks)
6 sundials
2 electrum hourglasses (no other time sink, except graboids, so they will be able to draw often, they help you avoid the potentially fatal draw stall once Seism keeps rewinding your creatures)

Spells
3 firestorm (these are best for taking out gnomes, to preserve otyugh's grav quantum, and weakening the bigger creatures to be devoured)
2 improved steal (stealing his diamond shield can save you lots of hassle, or pulverizer to take out all his diamond shields.  If you get it early, you can also steal an Earth tower, to save one of your own towers from a quicksand).
Twin Universe (copies any cost creature with the otherwise unused Aether quantum.  Can be good for copying otyugh's, Firefly queen, or whatever mutation).

Other possible cards

Phase shield: although I've rarely used it... it seems to me cards that give constant protection as opposed to 3 free turns can be better than phase shield, but I don't know.
Eagle's eye:  Good creature destruction, the only big threat, but high cost of usage.  The FFQ would have to be dropped
Protect Artifacts:  In fact perhaps the deck should be based around protect artifact.  But an issue can be, if you only draw it sometimes, you can't really plan around having enchant artifact and using a bunch of high cost creatures to easily win.  So you'd need a couple I think.  A strategy that has worked for me is just to have lots of towers and outlast the Earthquakes, then I get 4-6 out which is enough for the win.  But a PA could be an almost insta-win.
Shards:  If you have them.... they are cheap with 3 random quantum and can buy you some time.  But they have no permanent effect, so are better in a deck that draws often.
Anabuis:  No more rewind... he is also expensive, at 8 time quantum.

And likely many others.

Another possible deck is one that relies heavily on boneyards and mutations, and then most of deck is focused on defense, and lots of protect artifacts to save towers.

Hey, uzra!

You know with this one thread you just doubled the amount of haters I have in this forum. :)

I'm flattered that you would ask my help but a PM would have probably been a better choice. With that title you are basically saying you want my help only, not others. There are many players here who have been playing much longer than me and probably have many great ideas.

I quickly browsed through this thread and there were some good ideas. Here are my thoughts on the subject.

How to beat Seism?
Good question. First we should think about why we lose to Seism.

Why we lose to Seism?
1. He destroys our Towers
2. He has the ability to push out multiple hard hitting 4+ HP characters and FAST

So basically he keeps us from getting quantum while at the same time keeps pounding us until we die.

How do we stop him from destroying our Towers?
Protect Artifact. You have to have this card. Sure you can beat him without it, but if you want consistent results, you need to have Protect Artifatc.

How do we limit his damage?
There are two ways. Either we get rid of his characters or we use shields.

How do we get rid of his characters?

Otyugh is a natural choice for crowd control. Non-buffed Otyugh can eat 4 different kinds of characters Seism uses. However you need to get Otyugh in the table fast and he will get Rewinded. Anubis helps but is also very expensive to play.

What shield should I use?

Gravity Shield would be PERFECT if not for those damn Time Dragons with 4HP. Think about it. If you had couple of Otyughs on the table, they would eat most of the smaller guys as soon as Seism plays them. And those bigger guys that Otyughs cannot eat, can't hit you because of Gravity Shield. Sure you can eat those Time Dragons but they still get a chance to hit you once for 13 HP which adds up pretty quickly.

Bone Wall is a hit and miss. Sometimes it's great, other times it sucks. Problem is that Seism has many characters who will run though that Bone Wall very fast unless you are able to make it bigger each turn. If you take control of the fighting grounds early on, Bone Wall is great. But if Seism has tons of burrowed characters, you are done.

One option is to steal his shield. This will help you stay alive a bit longer. Unfortunately Seism likes to use Protect Artifact on it.

My number one choice is Phase Shield. You will be invincible for 3 turns and there is nothing Seism can do about it. What makes is Phase Shield great is the fact that if you have Phase Shield on the whole time, you won't even need any crowd control.

What kind of deck is best against Seism?
Most people seem to suggest rainbow decks. While rainbow is doing a pretty good job, it's way too unreliable imo. Seism is a tough guy to beat with a rainbow deck and players who say they can beat Seism almost every time with rainbow are frankly full of s***. :)

With what I said earlier in mind, I would say Gravity or Aether (with a hint of Earth) is the way to go, and This is what I came up with:

The ULTIMATE Anti-Seism Deck

Mark of EARTH.

Yep, it's that simple. You don't need a complex rainbow deck with all kinds of card combinations. All you need is Protect Artifact, Phase Shield and Phase Dragon. Thunderbolt is optional and can be replaced with more Towers but it seems to work pretty well and gives this deck little variation.

This deck is strong against Seism because..
1. He cannot destroy your Towers.
2. He cannot hit you (Phase Shield)
3. He cannot target, and therefore Rewind, your characters.

This deck is played in 2 different phases.

1. Survival Phase
During early game, all you have to do is buy time. The key is to survive as long as possible without using a Phase Shield. When you are 100% certain that you will die the next turn, then move to phase 2. You can use your math skills to calculate how much damage Seism can potentially do the next turn. You see how much quantum and cards he has. And you know what kind of characters or weapons he can play. The rest is just math. If you draw Thunderbolts, use them to take out Shriekers or Time Dragons.

2. Phase Shield Phase (lolz)
Keep Phase Shield on you the whole time while your Dragons kill Seism. If you draw Thunderbolts, use them on Seism.

Here it is in action:

As you can see, I have only 2 HP left. Was I lucky? No. Last turn before I started using Phase Shields, I calculated that Seism can potentially get me to 2 HP (if he plays a Dragon) but there is NO WAY he can kill me. And this is exactly what happened :)

I tested this deck maybe 7-8 times and won every time. In one match I was pretty close to dying because I didn't draw any Shields but last lucky draw saved me, so this deck is not 100% but I would say it beats Seism easily at least 90% of time.

If you try this, let me know how it works.

ehi did you noticed that in the 3rd post of this topic I wrote a possibly deck... and there was 4 phase dragon? XD
Actually I didn't notice that but yeah there are Phase Dragons, 3 of them. However that deck is a rainbow and totally different from mine.

With that deck you would probably get owned pretty bad because you seriously lack in defense. That Dissipation Shield is not enough to keep you alive. Seism and his characters will go through it like butter. Also having those Phase Dragons won't help you much because you still have FFQ's that Seism can use his Rewind to.

That deck would perform much better if you had 3 x Phase Shield instead of Dragons (although then your damage would go down a lot). Those Dragons use 42 Aether quantum and you are playing rainbow. Don't you think it's a bit too much? That mark after all only gives you 1 quantum each turn.

I'm very interested in this as well.  Some important issues:

MUST include enchant artifacts to counter quicksand.
Probably Includes scarabs or otyughs coupled with sundials - to counter the burrowed masses.
Twin Unis for damage dealers...

Perhaps a fire deck with Earth mark, or fire mark fire deck with immolations to get the quanta for casting enchant artifacts.  If you can protect your stack from turn one, you can pile on the fire quanta to channel through your fahrenheit, fire lances, and dragons.

EDIT: This is a terrible idea.  Forget I said it about the fire deck...

Anyway, let's see what the forum has to say...

Uzra, if you and/or Scaredgirl have MSN or Yahoo Instant Messaging, PM me on here and I'll add you. It'd be much easier to collaborate this way, and would allow us to come up with deck ideas more quickly.

Well, I PMed Scaregirl, but she either didn't get it, or didn't respond. =/

Also, PMing is good and all, but instant messaging would be so much faster. The chatroom would work well, too, but then we'd all have to be on there at the same time, which could become difficult unless we set up a specific date, time, etc. Having them on MSN, which I am always on whenever I'm on my computer, which is most of the time since it's also where I work (I write...>.>), it'd be easy to stay in contact, leave offline message, and talk casually. Not to mention that it's instant and, most importantly, private. The last thing we need is a troll popping up. =/

this thread is starting to resemble a stalker forum, no wonder her name is scaredgirl. :D
*stalks Chival for making an annoying mono-Fire deck that I keep encountering in the trainer while looking for Rainbow decks*

Jellyfish, are you saying that Scaredgirl, Uzra, and yourself are the only people with deck ideas, and that you should act exclusive from the forums? I thought that is why the forum was created, so players could collaborate with deckbuilding strategy and report bugs, etc. That is the entire point of these forums, is it not?
Don't get me wrong, jm, we're most definately NOT the only ones that have deck ideas, however, a forum is a rather slow way of exchanging information, especially when compared to IMing and what-not. Being able to mess around with the trainer and chat in a chatroom with instant responses would surely speed up the development of this deck. Uzra requested Scaredgirl's help, and I'm offering my services as well. If you'd like to, too, then by all means.

Also, I'd love to have Scaregirl on my contact list for reasons other than Elements, simply because I enjoy her imput and attitude.

Wondering If you could help me design a deck who's sole purpose is to defeat Seism.  The deck's purpose, for me, will be to farm seism as he is the best option for farming Pulverizer.  I'm currently using my ant-control deck but the games are rather long and the win rate is nothing to brag about.

]

So if we could collaborate perhapse we can find a deck that can beat seism 75%+ of the time.  It's viability Vs other decks is of no concern.  I'm sure you're capable I just hope your up to the challenge :)

i was thinking about white/aether with mark of stone just for the protects.

fly your morning stars into 8/1 untargetables for 6 quanta. You could use sundials too.

Unfortunitly the 6 morning stars and 5 flying weapons means 11 cards to make r creatures and 1 in weapon slot. the phase dragons are just more practical and can get you a smaller deck.

Or ONLY use it to copy a big creature if you will win that turn- much the same as you would against Miracle/

The first thing I thought when I started reading this thread was my mono-aether god farming deck. It didn't have quite the win record against all the fg's as rainbow but still worked decent. It always beat seizm if I could manage to get enough quantums to keep my shields going AND get 2 dragons on the table. I do like this focused version though.

I would be curious as to it's winning percentage against various other gods. I know to beat Miracle you'd have to swap 2 thunderbolts for TU. How critical are those thunderbolds to beating Seism?
