Roughly 60% of all Mars missions have failed due to one obstacle or another. Today was not one of those days. Humanity has landed a mobile robotic science rover on the surface of mars. It's the fastest one yet. It can probe an Armedilgo and a Yak in less than one PVP timeout. Welcome to another step towards the future, humanity.

We've reversed aging in mice. Bonobos are using iPads to learn icon vocabularies with thousands of English words. The Higgs particle was finally found, rounding out all the subatomic particles predicted by quantum physics.

Faster-than-light particles. Graphene. Keppler 22-b.

And now the Curiosity rover, a ridiculously well-stocked high-speed science lab on wheels. This is a great time to be alive!

Now we just need to find the penalty from Ramos in UCL semifinal.
You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.

The irony:  Curiosity is probably the greatest feat of human engineering to date, besides perhaps the Kepler satellite.  Outboard motors have been around for quite some time, now.

Yet, American news coverage this week centred on Michael Phelps - a human who has spent his life turning himself into an Outboard motor!

Humanity, when will you get your priorities straight?
