Sacrifice - Round 6 Matches and Battle Results

Matches are best-of-five. The first player who wins 3 individual duels, wins the match.
- Players have (more than) 6 days to make the fight happen. They must contact their opponent using a PM, and try to find a time that suits both.
- If the fight doesn't happen, both players lose by default, unless one player is clearly more active in trying to find a suitable time.
- You may only use cards from your Vault, in addition to Pillars, Pendulums, and Mark Cards. You may use any mark.
- The number after your name represents the number of upgrades you may use. These upgrades apply to every deck you play this round.
- You may change your deck during the match. If the match lasts 5 games, you are allowed to use up to 5 different decks, as long as they are all legal.

After duels, all players must submit their results and decks to this thread.

If you see anything that you think may be a mistake, send me a private message immediately.

The countdown is longer than normal because I leave on the 13th and return on the 16th. It would be preferable for everyone to finish their match and send in their Sacrifice in the next 5 days, as this would speed up the event significantly.

Turn 1 Trident and I smashed all his things - late SoP for me but that was largely irrelevant as he couldn't play much.

Turn 1 SoP, which he countered with an early Trident, but my Trident came on turn 3 and I smashed all his things!

Awful 2 quanta draw for treebeard, I top decked an early trident, and while his Panda's gave me a run for my money, without quanta it was just a matter of time before I caught and finished him.

looking back at this deck i realize i didn't put enough quanta in here but still first turn trident and only drawing death pends for most of the duel by the time i finally started getting somewhere two squids were locking me down and sop was on the go I never drew any of my light cards meanwhile that was the only quanta i was getting.

again the early trident and early sop wardens on the go that was game over any damage i got out lasted a turn then died and his trident had a steadier quanta flow than mine.

I got a 2 quanta draw meanwhile jen gets both sop and trident in his first hand i had no chance with low quanta against trident pandes helped slow him down however my upped quanta came too late so i could never antimatter his last remaining high attack creature by the time i could i had to use another pande to kill a squid that in turn suddenly decided it was going to kill the gnome after the first four hardly touched it.

well at least i can say by the time i got eliminated it was by an opponent who was using one of the very powerful sharded decks and they had a 10 upgrade advantage but annoyingly the fourth deck i had in mind may well have broken those sodding wardens and i chose to use mono entropy instead of the monolight that jen felt might be able to beat wardens.

Had a weak quanta draw, getting two time pillars and BOTH of the gravity pendulums, but I got the miracle so I won despite his miracle.

Game 2a: -unfinished-  Played one game, and we both managed to lose to the AI, because we saw different draws each time.  (he saw my ai get 5 sundials in top 14 cards, yet I played him to 4 cards away from deckout and only ever had 2)  -note to self- used the 50 card pdial deck for this

Game 2b: LOSS.  He got a quick immorush start.  I got no dials or miracles all game, and only saw one SoSa and one SoD for stall.  Nothing I could do.  I lost by 1 turn, having gotten 3 poisons and the glory early.  A stall card at any time and I would have won.

Game 3: LOSS.  I got all six pendulums, one mark, and 1 death card all game.  I couldn't play anything.  A miracle stalled for a bit, but I couldn't even play my creatures or hope, so there was no point.  I tickled him for about 7 damage with a ray of light.

Game 4: LOSS.  He got a fail draw, and I thought I'd have an excellent chance, since I'd probably very nearly countered him here, having predicted this again.  Unfortunately, we desync, and I lose to the AI.  At 31 cards left in deck when I lose, I have drawn no miracles, no eternity until the last turn, no procrastination, one sundial, one sanctuary, two shards of divinity, a nymph I couldn't play, an hourglass, some reverse times, and altogether too much light quanta.

edit: wow, just saw his games 2-4 decks.  I thought he had 6 of all the key cards because he had two golems and 2 minor phoenix ash on the board turn 1 in games 2 and 3, along with the requisite 2x cremations and photon.

Heck of a tight match. Had RNG decided to shuffle the cards ever so slightly differently, I'd be pretty much hard countered.

BB was the hero! Auburn Nymphs were a nice backup though.
Ice shield was stalling pretty good, but when a Pulvy came, it was over pretty quickly.

Didn't draw the SoW though, and he rushed hard enough to beat me.

Then I decided to play Swallow, figuring I could stall or stallbreak as needed.  Worked pretty well, until I didn't draw the Gravity Pull I needed to set up a Focuswall.

So then I figured he might take a gamble and play a SoSac deck, being up 2-0 and just needing one more win.  He hadn't been playing megastalls, and I figured I could likely freeze a rogue Earth Nymph or two if he had one.  Instead, I get a starting hand of 5 quanta, a shield, and 2 freeze.  Took too long to draw an NT, and the Zerg was off.

GGs all, I'm excited to have made it as far as I did in this event; making the top 8 was an honor for me in such a loaded field of great players.  Good luck to the final 5!  I'll explain my (odd, from most people's comments) choice of 3 elements after the event is over.
