Sacrifice - Preparation for Round 2 https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=54931.msg1144486#msg1144486

PREPARATION FOR ROUND 2
Select up to 9 cards from your vault to sacrifice. Message your cards to RootRanger.
- For each card you sacrifice, you may use two upgrades in the following round. This applies to every duel in the match.
- Cards that are sacrificed are permanently removed from the vault. They may not be used for the rest of the event.
- Sacrifices are made public and vaults are updated at the end of the Preparation phase.
- You are not required to make a sacrifice. Players who do not send me a message will not sacrifice any cards, and they will not be able to use any upgrades the following round.
- If you do not expect to be able to play the next round, you may send a PM to RootRanger to indicate that you would like to forfeit the round. If you choose to forfeit, you will be excluded from the pairings, and you will receive a 0-0 loss. The advantage of forfeiting is that you can skip a round or two without disturbing the event.

There will be no players eliminated after the first two rounds.
After Round 3, 12 players are eliminated; 20 players remain.
After Round 4, 8 players are eliminated; 12 players remain.
After Round 5, 4 players are eliminated; 8 players remain.
After Round 6, 4 players are eliminated; 4 players remain.
After Round 7, 2 players are eliminated; 2 players remain.
After Round 8, 1 player is eliminated; 1 player remains.

speaking of eliminations.. there is a high risk of ties for who gets out after round 3 (yeah Ruta after 3  :P )  and for the rounds after also ofc.  The number of loss is a tie-breaker but player vs player is unlikely to help here, so what.. random people that are tied are out and you just had to get a better score if you wanted to continue?  I'm more then ok with that, but it's better to know then to hope for a suicide match to continue playing ( imh it would drag the event for too long but you get the call here obviously Root).

After the number of losses, comes the number of opponent wins. So, if two players have the same number of wins and losses, the player who has had the stronger opponents ranks higher. Just to be safe, I think I'll add the number of opponent losses as a tiebreaker as well. So, the first tiebreaker is number of losses (lower is better). The second tiebreaker is number of total wins for your opponents (higher is better). The third tiebreaker is number of total losses for your opponents (lower is better). This should take care of all of the ties.
