Game 1:  Saw an mark and assumed I was facing EQ Grabbies + GotP, so I played my Pillars/Pends carefully.  I was then surprised to see a Nova appear later in the game followed by an Explosion.  Fortunately I had finally drawn a Dim Shield before I let Jen get me into the kill range so I couldn't be stopped. 1-0

Game 2:  Didn't see an EQ last game so I assumed it was okay for me to spam Pillars like the wind.  This might have cost me this game.  3 Aether Pillars got EQ'd from the start, which put me on a quanta shortage for most of the game.  Haxx shield blocked both Phase Dragons one turn before he Exploded my Dim Shield on the last. 1-1

Game 3:  Went back to playing things safe again.  2 Nova starting from Jen meant he could EQ my 2 Aether Pillars which slowed me down profusely.  To my surprise and Jen's dismay, he drew 0 Time Factories which gave me ample time to set up.  I decided to chain my Dims earlier this game to make it harder for surprise Explosions to finish me off.  This may have saved my neck this duel. 2-1

GGs Jen.  I can honestly say I was not expecting this deck at all; thanks for the surprises!

Game #1: LOSS
The game came down to if I could top deck the second explosion - I had about 4 turns to do it - no dice

Game #2: WIN
Still only drew 1 explosion - but I got both Pharaoh's on the field to get me enough damage to kill him after dropping the Dim Shield - Fog kept me in the game

Game #3: LOSS
Ugly Ugly Ugly - 2 nova and and EQ were all I played for the first 5 turns of the game - no pillars .. nothing - I finally drew both explosions in my opening hand - but there was no way I could come back - perhaps I could have gotten lucky with a Fog Shield - but it was not to be

that's what I get for deckbuilding on paper away from our tools - just didn't have a lot of screen time during deck building this time.

At least we lost with the deck and aren't all exited about winning before discovering we lost.

This deck is like a nasty combination of everything we were trying to beat. Great job fighting it out, will. I'm surprised that an early fog and explosion is enough to seal it, I definitely thought that two explosions and early fog were needed for any chance of winning.

Well played, Jen. At least you got to pick up an extra 10 Pends earlier to cover for the (likely 6 card, but Kael has final word) penalty. Otherwise, it would have knocked Time right out via a technicality, and that would be no fun.
