I really hate to revive the drama here but I see little other choice.

Based on evidence provided by LongDono and Team Underworld regarding the desyncs in this match, I am overruling the third game and initiating a rematch of said third game. This game can be played by any members of either team for full salvage since both players were there at the scheduled time and when they agreed to finish in the morning. The match must be decided in the rematched game without any desyncs, meaning neither side can use the AI to their advantage.

Yup, we had normal timeouts where AI took over and desynchs where both players "left", as the message would show. It hasn't been rare either, in my experience. I've heard a lot of people experiencing it, and I've seen it happen to me and others a lot in both PvP 1 and Duel.

If indeed Higu had left, then at the very least if this set is not given to Dono then it should be restarted as a 1-0 in his favor.

While I wasn't able to spectate, from match descriptions it looks like Higu's win in the second match was due to LD's computer dying, forcing him to quit the match and therefore auto-lose. He quit, and Higu got a win. If Higu quits, LD should get a win, or Higu should not have gotten the first win at all.

Why is this a rematch starting at third game ... should it be a 2-0 victory for Underworld?

Definitive proof of Higurashi leaving game should be decisive.

Yep, it was not a timeout, nor any desynch marks.

While this ruling is a step in the right direction I don't think I'll be satisfied unless I see some kind of proof or get verification from a warmaster that a desynch can in fact occur in which there are no desynch marks and it looks like the other player just leaves. While I think TStar's comment was maybe a bit harsh, I think that he is someone who would know about this if it in fact exists. That he and others think the screen should be enough to give us () the win makes it harder to accept yet another rematch.

There is a really, really uncommon scenario.

You don't hear about it, because it's very rare.

Occasionally the game actually decides to detect connection issues.

They had a very fuzzy connection, so odds are it may have cut in the middle of the game somewhere.

The result is a message saying "You have disconnected from the game and will lose in 5..." etc.

Any method of disconnecting from the game (closing internet connection, computer shut down, closing window, hitting back, etc.) INCLUDING this will result in a message telling you that your opponent has LEFT rather than timed out.

If I'm correct, this happened to Higs and she had no method of playing the AI.

I'm not saying it's the absolute truth because I have no proof, but I trust Higs enough to not quit a match and blame it on desync.

That SS shows a 10 second timer with different wording, not the 4 second or so one you get when you see someone leave like in my SS.

I have never seen a message that a player left when I knew we desynched, the computer takes over and thus the person is a non issue if I understand desynch right.

Also why do I have to play another game again? I have 100% proof I won that game as it was impossible as sevs showed for higs to win the game, as well as higs leaving that game just as it looked bad for her just like the other 2 desynchs beforehand.

I see no reason why this would need another game, the SS I showed has me winning both ways. Do the math I could not lose unless higs drew PERFECT and I drew like 7 pends in a row, and it shows higs leaving the game. What more could anyone want?

I always get 10-second timers when lag spikes and my connection drops. While rare, it could be on either end, seeing as I have no trouble connecting to other players. For the opponent, however, someone leaving has the same message and result no matter the reason (bad connection or pressing the button): auto-win.

I'll be able to rematch later today. If we still can't connect, other team members can just fight for us.

Some protips to the combatants: update flash player. Ducktape internet cable to computer. Remove liquids around sensitive areas. Don't ragequit.

Hehe. There's been a lot of tension in the high pressure air here. As some of you've noticed in chat, I've had to log off for several hours due to -massive- thunderstorms. They've been really, really awesome (worst I've ever seen), but I wouldn't be surprised if my connection has problems staying alive against certain spots in the world thanks to them. We even had lightning strike a phone pole at the other side of the village yesterday.
