Lava Golem (Fire) 2-1 Kurohami subbed by vagman13 (Entropy) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=17465.msg222520#msg222520

Semi-close matches.

My deck:
Code: [Select]
52g 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 542 542 542 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f2 5f3 5f6 5f6 5f6 5f6 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5li 5li 5li 5li
Round 1:
Went quite smoothly, deflagged his arsenics, killed him with poison. He got a late arsenic though.

After like 5 desyncs...

Round 2:
Not the best draw, no death quanta generation, 4 miracles clogged my hand and no deflags either. pretty quick game since I had like 21 poison counters in the end.

Round 3:
Good draw, got a deflag, poison, death pend among others. I killed vagman in the end with poison and 2 cromson drags to bring down his bone wall.

Good games, vagman13. Sorry you couldn't make it Kurohami.
lava golems are the best creatures in the game cause I said so

We played two Bone Wall decks against Fire because we intended to go 1-1 with them this round. Such a record clearly favors us because our Vault is larger and we could afford to lose a Bone Wall deck without any problem. We were fully expecting a counter to Bone Wall for one fight ... but we definitely were not expecting a counter that almost lost. The first desync Lava Golem had no Death quanta generation either and it probably would have been our victory ...

Interesting deck but I think Fire miscalculated by having so few Death Pendulums. They came very close to losing because of it ...

Entropy is so awesome that, when they lose, they knew they would lose.

Somebody should make a Chuck Norris-esque thread about Entropy for this hilarity.

Team Fire better learn how to do math or they may end up winning more matches like this.  So I guess....shame on them?

Well, the :death stuff costs 8 total quanta.  With the pillar allotment, death has a 3.2 ttw here.  You could almost say wer are over pillared on death. :)

I think it's pretty obvious to both you and me that what's relevant is how quickly you get the Death quanta, not how much of it you get. Lava Golem didn't have a Pendulum in his first 12 cards one game and it ended up costing him the game ... and a similar draw could have done the same a second time if it weren't a desync. Seems riskier than necessary. Just a passing observation; it changes neither the expected nor the actual outcome.
