Laxa's explained that Aether essentially has enough of all these cards in Spoils already that the effect of diminishing returns makes these spoils less useful

What about the deflags ? (Or entropy cards which deuce loves for some reason)  and aether pillars ??!? This was worst possible thing to do. If aether went ie 1-5 this round they had a good chance to be in quanta trouble since they would still have to field 5-6 players. Giving them aether pillars was beyond terrible idea. And suiciding vs the leader is just loser psychology in which you submit to alpha dog and lose most of your chances to win war on purpose in hopes for a 2nd place. This topic gives me a headache.

The fact that gravy suicided to us doesn't surprise me as we are guaranteed a top 4 spot, and their resources are better sent to other matchups that have a larger impact on top 4.

However, I agree with others about giving us aether cards and other nonquanta cards. I don't know what was in your vault, but it appears a lot of this came from salvage last round, which easily could have been replaced with off-element quanta. The only thing I can think of is if they want to keep a certain 3 cards depending on how their matches go, instead of just keeping 3 off-element quanta. Otherwise, they did their salvage early in deckbuilding, then decided on suicide late, and didn't have time to change their salvage, which I also understand.

It may seem like prioritizing top 4 spot is a good idea yet it is still very doubtful suiciding aether is helping with that. But more importantly, if you empower your biggest opponent on purpose, this can only mean you already accepted being a loser and just aim to be "less of a loser". Or you are just bad at strategy and terrible at planning since gravity won 4-1 last round and should be able to field 6 decks with 24 conversion easily. They could use off element pends/pillars and be able to field even more decks. We did it multiple times with earth / death duos. And they could transmute 8 gravity cards which makes this even more possible.

The problem here is more of a loser mentality than actually trying and losing.

Edit2: Gosh they went 5-0 last round ? Then even the simple maths i did is not needed. They can transmute 10 gravity cards and build like 8 working decks.

Our damage for a last deck consisted of 1 charger, plus another gravy creature if we transmuted.  Aether is almost impossible to predict due to huge vault.  They can transmute all of the aether cards in spoils anyway.  Aether is also allready guaranteed a spot in top 4, so giving them this salvage/6 spoils honestly does not help them that much.  We are also not really frightened of deflagration, and I laugh at the prospect of deuce using abominations in a deck.  Of our other 5 oppoenents, the only one that can't really finish in top 4 is water, and seeing as they have like 2 playable decks, I am pretty confident we will win against them.  So yes, I sent a suicide vs. aether, and no, I do not regret it.  Now quit your whining.
