No EC used by either side.
Game 1 - He drew the super nuts rush draw and crushed me in 4 turns.
0 - 1
This is the point where I take out the chargers and the acceleration because they are "too slow" and I need to "defend my life" with my defensive combos
Game 2 - I drew an otyugh early and he did not have removal for it. SoFo with gpull comes along shortly after to secure the win
1 - 1
Game 3 - I get an early otyugh again, but this time it immediately gets rage potion-ed. I drag it out with decent black holes but don't find anything else and die
1 - 2
This is the point where I should have realized that I have more quanta than I need and the chargers would be nice if he doesn't get a great draw.
Game 4 - I get early SoFo and gpull and his draw is very slow. first otyugh gets lightninged. I CP the second otyugh (get +5/+5 like a boss) but it immediately gets double rage potion-ed. The SoFo holds the line as discord does 72 damage by itself, but eventually he gets enough damage to beat through the SoFo. I have convinced myself I can win if I draw the chargers, since he is on very low hp. But the chargers never show up because I sideboarded them out.
1 - 3
Maybe siding out 2 pends and the acceleration was better in retrospect, but I did not see the 2nd or 3rd CC cards until game 4, so I thought a second otyugh was all I needed to secure a lockdown and enough damage to chip him to death. And not getting enough quanta for an early otyugh was also fatal (see game 1). It was a close call and I ended up on the wrong side of it in game 4.
Well played Vangelios. You adapted well to my strategy, and took advantage of my deck's weaknesses.
