In a deck of pieces and parts, sometimes you get the pieces, and sometimes you get the parts.

G1: No reflect, L
G2: slow deckout win
G3: No SoD, No quanta for Miracle
G4: Tons of quanta, no reflect, no SoD til after both Miracles played to keep me alive.

Luck a bit lower than average but it was hardly a hard counter, I'd guess it was 60-40 in our favor at best.  Part of playing any card game is learning to deal with RNG and sometimes you just lose.  All credit to deuce for playing well by loboing even before mirror came down in games 3 and 4 to minimize the hurt!

Until I saw the mirrors i wondered how fire even managed to squeeze 1 win in. and with lobo countering even that and no deflag to be found, this match went pretty much as I would expect it knowing the decks.

In theory I should be able to hold off the loboed psions with BBs and bolts, and use SoD + Miracle to stall out, and if he lacks dims, faren can do good work, so there's a gameplan for each side.  I don't think either side is heavily favored.

Definitely agree here. It's a fairly luck favored matchup, and naturally, the smaller deck will get more consistent draws.

And for my unsolicited input: I think Aether would be somewhat well-favored here given that Fire's deck seems VERY low or slow on Light quanta to ever multi-Miracle in time to be effective. 6/42 where each Pend drawn = 1/2:light / turn with 1-for-Mark is short of the goal if you want to play more than one mid-to-late game Miracle, I think.

Yup. Statistics don't cherry pick, and the median outcome here is 0/2 Miracles played when you need both and several SoD's to survive. That makes 0/3 a not unlikely outcome, and 1/3 quite likely.

We gambled 0 - 3 :(
This is what remains after discarding parts of so many decks. It's almost a suicide deck, but not entirely.

I loved the "Frankenstall" as torb put it before. Sadly the monster mash of cards in this deck made it falter out, plus deuce Loboing his own psions really sealed this deck pretty firmly. Had a decent chance, but not much beyond some counter potential.
