A team out in Round 5, while only having one battle.... is that too quick?

I'd say no, it's fine. But the team in question might feel differently ofc.

we're not the only team, more teams might drop out of war this round.

@majofa - having one battle and around 50 cards in your vault makes you easy to counter, and that deck basicly countered everything we'd bring.

Depends. War used to be too long, i think (war 3, though i wasn't in it). Making it shorter might not be bad, and this is a elegant way to do it (smaller war)

We had a reduced number of players to start with. If you remove rounds where teams had 7-8 duels, it is not that surprising to see teams dying in round 5.
A longer, more fun war could have been done with a bigger vault, though.

I know why War is shorter.....

By the way, there's only been one War over 10 rounds... well technically last War was 13 rounds, but it was 'disguised' as 10.

then i'd say yes, it's a bit to early and i liked the bigger vault wars more.

Yeah, no one really complained that War was 'too long' ... the complaints pointed out how it dragggggged on at the end.
