My deck (thanks team!):

Code: [Select]
55q 55q 55q 576 576 576 5id 5id 5id 5id 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 61r 61r 61r 61r 61r
Two quick and clean games with no desynch's.  Big thanks to ak65ala for being a pleasure to organise with.

It looked like he had two bad draws.  I think it was a single light pillar on both starts.

Game 1

I saw a graboid and a couple of pegasi, one of which got a blessing but the dragons were rolling already and I outdamaged him with my quick start.  I didn't see any nova and I suspect RNG was being cruel to ak65ala

Game 2

Another good start for me and another bad one for him.  Dragons were rolling again by the time he got his nova.  He buffed a shrieker like mad but I had saved a PU for it and just had too much on the board.

Thanks again ak65ala, I know it has been a tough time for Team Light and you guys have done a great job of sticking it out.

Screenie for end of game 2:

It is too late to apologise.  I have already forgiven you.

Round 1: Won toss.  1 light pillar in hand, no nova.  First nova was seen 15 cards into my deck, on the last turn.  Multitude of unusable cards in hand (lightning, momentum, forest spirit, lycanthrope) Unevolved galboid on ground, un-flying pegiis (2) on ground.  Easy win for Bootsza.

Round 2: Won toss.  1 light pillar in hand, no nova.  Drew 2 novas by the time I got my graboid out.  Only drew 2 creatures (other was forest spirit), I knew that whatever I blessed he could just paralell.  Bootza had 2 dragons out already (one from PU).  I hoped that he did not have another PU.  (He had 2 more).  Lost by one turn though.

Good Games Bootza.  I apologize to team light for my dismal showing this war. At least we have a round or two more to pull this around (heh.).

Wow, there goes my favorite light deck. Will we see it again this war?
Those seemed like some truly awful draws ak...

PU'ing the mega-shrieker was a nice touch ;)

Just my reflection... Maybe if I blessed the forest spirit, it would have gone differently, but from what I remember, I had 3 HP my last turn, and Bootza could have done 40 damage if he only PU his dragons.  So.. I believe at the point of my 30 sec decision on what to bless, if I should bless etc... I calculated that if he didn't have any PU, I won, if he did, I loss.

He had 2 more, so I don't feel so bad about the move.  I died to my draws, team water's well made deck and Bootza's solid play.  It was over before my one strategic decision was even an option.

Nice work, Bootsza and Team :water .  You have finally felled the mighty beast known as Team Light, not to be confused with its smaller cousin, Team Lite.

As I mentioned in our prep, ice dragons (and steam machines) care little about lightning.  RNG was not our friend this day, but at least it wasn't a nymph tear deck, those seem to be quite brutal in Bootsza's hands.

Everything is brutal in Bootsza's hands.

That's why we're giving him 31 pillars next round.
