They were waiting for hard denial, like the decks of last  :underworld team(News Flash people: We can build original decks!).
They used EQ because it works well against classic denial builds and went rainbow because it is fast and can put up with discord.

We actually did have a hard counter to UW's deck originally.

No point in bolstering lies this late in the War for most teams.

I dont think he meant to disguise it :P and it is WAR, This isnt a place to make friends and have a congratulatory tea party. There is a mutual respect and i think that was always understood. In later rounds i am looking forward to the challenge of team darkness.

I take it you have never tried to build a 3 immo 3 nova deck that functions lol. until Phaedrus came up with this, they have all failed hard.
