Since Team Gravity tried and failed at using as Earthquake strategy on me last round, I figured they'd follow everyone else and try to win using Black Holes.  The best way to shut that down is Sanctuary, but trying to get one out quick enough was the challenge.  I decided to build something that could be competitive against their Discord/BH deck and cross my fingers that they wouldn't try an Earthquake strategy again.  Basically the goal is to get 2 :entropy and 1 :light quanta and use the Supernovas to get out a quick Sanctuary.  In testing I was able to get out a turn 2 Sanctuary with a good draw and and luckily in 4 of the 5 games I was able to get Sanctuary out before he could use a Black Hole on me.

Game 1: Not really a great draw with 2 pends and 1 pillar but no SNs, Sancs, or Discords.  He drew only 1 pendulum and I started getting hopeful that he was playing a mono or duo.  Those hopes were quickly dashed the next turn when he played a double Nova and Arsenic.  I knew I would be in for a fight now since Discord and Earthquake could be largely ineffective cards.  Next turn he plays a Sapphire Charger, but I topdeck a Supernova which lets me play out a Sanctuary.  I decide at this point to play my Discord since I'm a little behind in the damage race and I'm not sure how much punch his rainbow will be packing against me.  As luck would have it my Discord kept denying him :fire quanta for his Deflagration even after he played more Novas, but he was able to use RT on my Shrieker to slow me down.  I'm able to play out a Steel Golem and my Lycan and after evolving it I'm well ahead in the damage race with 22 damage on the field to with Sapphire Charger+Arsenic.  He finally gets enough :fire to Deflag my Sanctuary, and plays out an Elite Charger.  I'm able to use my Lightning to kill it off before the Sanc wears off.  He's able to BH me twice after that but I simply had too much damage out already and I won the race.  I kept my Earthquakes and Rage Potion in my hand so he wouldn't know I had them.

Game 2: Great draw with 3 pends and 1 pillar with a SN+Sanc in hand.  He has a 2 pend, 1 pillar draw as well and plays a Nova on the 2nd turn.  My pillar gives my 1 :light by turn 3 so I play the SN+Sanc combo and a Steel Golem+Graboid.  He's able to play an Elite Charger+Arsenic as I play another Graboid.  I finally draw a Discord but decide not to play it so I don't risk it scrambling him a 3rd :fire for a Deflag on my Sanc, and because at this point I was well ahead in the damage race and didn't need the extra 4 from Discord.  Won this without too much problems, and again decided to keep Earthquakes hidden.

Game 3: Started out perfectly with a 1 pend, 2 pillar draw and 2 SNs+Sanc in hand versus his 1 pend draw.  The pillars gave me 2 :entropy so I was able to play out the double SN+Sanc+graboid on the second turn.  He plays an Elite Charger and at this point he's not shown any Novas so I finally reveal my EQs by taking out his 2 Pends.  I play out another golem and my Lycan and at this point I am well ahead in the damage race and feeling good.  Suddenly he plays out a double Nova+Arsenic+Elite Charger+Horned Frog combo and Lightning's my Shrieker and the race is on.  I was still firmly in control but on the last possible turn he could save himself he topdecked a Nova and Deflag'd my Sanc.  I knew I needed to topdeck another Sanc to win otherwise he'd be able to BH heal.  Alas, card #17 was an EQ and as expected he healed up next turn and was able to pull out the win.

Game 4: I knew off the draw I was probably doomed and I was right.  I had a 3 pend, 1 pillar draw but no SN, Sanc, Discord, or creatures versus his 3 pillar.  He quickly plays a Nova and an Elite Charger.  I EQ the pillar stack and play a Lycan but i have no way of evolving it.  Finally drew a Discord and decided to play it since I was already lagging behind in the damage race.  He plays out another Elite Charger and I finally draw a Steel Golem and play it out, still trying to catch up.  He finally plays out another Nova and the deciding Black Hole to seal my fate.  I lost having gone through 15 cards of my deck and never drawing a single Supernova or Sanctuary.

Game 5: I had a 1 pend, 1 pillar draw but 2 SN+Sanc in hand against his 1 pend draw.  My pillar was kind enough to give me 1 :entropy with allowed me to play a 2nd turn double SN+Sanc+Lycan.  The next turn I topdecked my Rage Potion and evolved my Lycan and Rage'd it to give me a nice 11 damage.  For the first time in the entire match I drew a second Sanctuary and after being stuck on 2 :light for a few turns I got the 3rd and played it out, sealing his fate.  He was able to play a Sapphire Charger, and I responded with a Steel Golem.  He got an Elite Charger out so I EQ's his 2 pillar stack.  He stil had enough to play another Sapphire Charger so I played out the Discord I had been holding and drew my 3rd Sanc.  Really was nothing he could do once the 2nd Sanc was played.
Carpe Diem!!

Madness.
I was way too stressed to remember the three first games :o

4th game : quanta hand. *perfect* topdecking of damage, damage and more damage. Crushed his bad draw.
5th game : Rage lycan is unfun when rng doesn't give you the one nova you need to crush it with lightning. Also, it totally owns.
The madness is in each of us. Close your eyes, sing, and open your webbed wings to the silent winds.
