GGs! Fun games to play, sometimes one deck will get off to a fast start and steam roll but with good starts for both of us it's really tense and enjoyable.
Played with -1 Dry Spell after the lost game.
G1 (Win):
A great game. No Nova meant that the Devs from TorB were able to delay my SoP by several turns, by which time I had some fairly large creatures staring me down. However, I drew into the Nova eventually and was able to get some Wardens down. They slowly dealt with the Devourers, then tried to hold back damage by delaying the biggest Vampires on the field. The game ended up being a race between some huge Vampires and Dolls against my Wardens and Gnomes, but with a 0 attack Warden to hold back the largest Doll and two more to stop the Vamp healing I end up surviving with 10 or so health remaining.
G2 (Win):
I was quite fortunate in this game. I was slow to draw a SoP, so TorB had free reign to develop his creatures and start ramping up whilst I was left a little behind. I drew into one after a few turns, though, and soon caught up with him thanks to drawing a good number of Wardens. I blew an Explosion on his SoP fairly early on in the hopes that TorB wouldn't have a second, only to have a Dusk played a turn or two later. TorB drew a lot of Vampires this game, though luckily only one or two were early enough to really benefit from the SoP buffs. Luckily for me, I drew into a 4th Nova and the 2nd Explosion all in the top half of my deck. With Dusk down I was able to push enough damage through fairly comfortably.
I'm not sure how this game would have ended up had Dusk stayed up. 5 Vamps is a lot, though TorB never did end up drawing a second SoP and I was holding back a good chunk of the damage with a few Wardens.
G3 (Loss):
I was left decimated after TorB developed a ton of early creatures without a single Warden to hold him back with. After drawing the Dry Spell in all three games so far, I was thrilled to get rid of it at this point.
G4 (Win):
My best draw of the match, though it wasn't perfect. I won toss and had Nova, Warden, SoP and Gnome all in hand. Since TorB drew no Towers, this meant that I had a 2 attack Warden set up by the time he could play his first Dev, seriously slowing his deck down. Though I only had the one Warden for most of the match, I drew a second Nova to set up the Scarab and was able to beat him down simply by ramping damage more quickly - the Vamps couldn't keep up.
