What a little rivalry we have going on verse Team Time here. In the past couple of rounds, they have always seemed to have our number so it was nice to revenge some of my teammates who were not as fortunate as me to come out of battle with the same result.
It was a pleasure playing with you ffun and perhaps it'll happen again some time soon. I don't see Team Time fading away because they have played so well
Game 1: 2nd turn disco....disco did work while I tried to throw up a bunch of damage. I fielded only lycans during the round. However, ffun was slowly amassing enough quanta to get his stuff in order. He started with an hourglass, then in what he probably thought was the just in the knick of time he was able to play a dim shield and an eternity. However, I had two steals and a dragon in hand. I played the unupped steal on the dim shield and rode the last turn to victory on lycans. Didn't show dragon, nor did I show what my upped cards were
Game 2: 2nd turn disco again.....disco did work while I tried to amass damage once again. Disco gave him hourglass early
and he started drawing cards like they were free handouts. Eternity was soon to follow. However, I saved my steal that was in hand for dim. He started RTing my lycans so I was going to be at a lock while he continues to draw which kind of made me nervous. However, right before the first RT from Eternity, I drew another steal
. So a couple turns went by in which it was a rinse and repeat of having to play new lycans. Stole dim shield when he finally got it up and rode the damage train to victory.
Game 3: ffun decided to curse me openly with my draws for disco and steals and it worked
I had an opening hand of pillars/pends with a dragon and a lycan. This was soon to be followed by more pillars and pends. So multiple turns with no disco and no steal in sight. I was able to get lycan and dragon out early, but they were not doing me anything because shortly after he had the dim chain starting. The good news was he started with low quanta so he wasn't developing super fast. However, one hourglass came out, then another, then another. While I was sitting stagnant with creatures out on the field and only drawing pillars and pends, he was starting to amass his army. The key was even though he was drawing cards at a rate of 4 per turn, he had yet to draw an Eternity which meant I was not locked down yet on my draws. I drew a steal on his second dim, but it was almost expired. Then he played an Eternity.....I was like great......still no disco, he's dim chaining, he's drawing 4 cards a turn, and i only have one steal to try to decide my fate. WRONG!!!! I drew another
perfect. I let the last tick of dim shield go down while he fractaled and started playing ghosts which meant here comes the pain train. Dragon was RTd of course. So my turn came up, refielded dragon and stole dim shield. What I failed to realize was how much more potent that freshly stolen dim shield was. HE JUST FRACTALED and he only 5 quanta after his pends and mark. He can't replay another dim....I didn't even need 2 steals lol. So he RTd, I replayed and the damage was enough to finish. Just for kicks, I finally used my first upped card (improved steal) on his eternity. It was symbolic in my mind and it was all done with no disco (let that be known).
Once again, thanks ffun and Team Time. Good luck to you in the rest of war.
Everybody else:Watch out for ffun's curses...they kind of work.
ENTROPONIES UNITE!!!!
