Lost the first game pretty solidly, so I figured that from that point onwards, my strategy would need to be
1) Win the coin toss
2) Draw a few Devourers. Play one on the second turn.
3) Have the Devourer take one gravity quanta, so that valuka can't momentum any scorps.
4) Continue to play devourers and have them endlessly troll the Gravity quanta pool a-la-Discord
5) Play the cards in my hand
6) Win
That never happened, the one time even the first two things happened, his Momentum was upgraded, so my plan failed, games that I won coin toss I had no devourers, games that I lost I had lots. (Exxageration may occur).
I didn't really think of this while playing, but my strategies changed a little from game to game. Once I used LS on his Scorp early game to prevent neurotixin build up, other times I used it on a flying Wyrm for a cheap 10 heal (it would have been rewound anyway).
I also didn't/did play devourers/pillars, and chose to Dive/play a new wyrm based on cards in his hand/quanta/ what I felt like.
The Dragon never got to come out - I had exact quanta to use it in the last game, then valuka played a Eternity, so he had to stay in that crowded hand.
I got more than a little lucky here. Valuka was a great opponent, the matches went well, tense and fun games.
