Momentums were that saved this match from utter defeat.
I won the first match by only a few points left. I didn't dare to play my purifies, expecting some poison. He played his pends a bit bravely. The EQ's did a good work.

I lost the second match decisively. I played my purify as fast as i could, it was my only healing source and it was not enough. He played his pends very shyly. He kept 3 in hand, which was probably not doing him much good, but the wings and the massive CC still let him control the board.

Third match was a desync right before a decisive point. I won against the AI easily (the AI let me stack up 5 poison counters). He won against the AI but with so little hp, and saw the AI use a deflag on his almost run out wings. He gave me this match, for which he definitely deserves credit. I think i had a much better chance, but we'll never be sure 100%.

Game 1: bad draw with 2 x bone dragon and 2 x bone wall clogging hand (this deck never had the death quanta to play its death cards).  i was able to use shockwaves to kill his shriekers until i could start chaining wings, but i never saw an OE until turn before i died, and he deflagged my last wings.

Game 2: poor start, but opponent had a slow start also.  i was able to get an OE out and enough death quanta to play a few spiders.  eventually chained wings then finished him off with a couple shockwaves.

Game 3: poor start again with 2 x bone wall and 1 x bone dragon, opponent had average start.  I had no shockwaves, but opponent kept graboids hidden due to threat of unplayed cards in my hand (which were in fact dead bone walls and dragons).  we desynched with me around 65 health + 2 poison and him at 97 + 1purify.  He crushed my AI, and I was able to beat his AI only because it deflagged a wings with 1 counter on it, hopped all his graboids to be killed by my OE and shockwaves after i got wings out the next turn.  I survived with 3 poison counter and 4hp, and decided to give match to avenger.


GGs avenger, and thanks for being willing to replay game 3.  In the end, though, I felt you could not possibly have played the game like the AI, and so you deserved the win!  Congratulations, and sorry Team

Step, I don't want you to feel badly for playing with honor and it's absolutely to your credit that you did what you believed to be the right thing.  But if something like this happens in the future I think you should replay it.  The desync happened early and you won when you played it out.  The rules on desyncs are clear and you shouldn't feel guilty as if you're exploiting the system; you're clearly not.

Credit to Avenger for building a great deck, playing well, and offering to replay.  Best of luck to Team Earth for the rest of the round.
