I definitely feel i should not have won this matchup as i firmly believe Tstar had the better deck. Thanks for the games Tstar and it's a pleasure as always.
Game 1 (Loss) - Tstar played a rainbow as i thought and was really just grateful he didn't use the deck they used vs Naps as that would have totally crushed us. As it is we barely got out by the skin of our teeth. This game came down to the last turn as Tstar topdecked one of his 2 deflags to barely have enough damage. If he didn't i would have killed him next turn. Also pulled all 5 novas early this game so that didn't help
Game 2 (Win) - Won this game by one turn with 4 HP left. Actually don't remember much of this match except i won on the final turn as well. Ah i remember now on the last turn i topdecked a lightning to just have enough damage. As long as i didn't pull a pillar or nova i was fine.
Game 3 (Loss) - I actually thought i had this game in the bag. Tstar couldn't draw a creature at all at the beginning and i chipped away at him for a while. He managed to do his normal BB and Lightning of my creatures and had a graboid and a golem out. Then came the Nightmare Boom right before i was about to win. Ouch... was not expecting that. An empty hand is not a good thing. At this point i thought i was pretty much screwed and we were going to eat a giant 30 card loss.
Game 4 (Win) - Tstar once again doesn't pull a whole lot of creatures and i slowly get damage on him. He BB's, he lightnings, blows up my fog.. all standard stuff and on his last turn if he would have topdecked his nightmare he would have won. I won with 6 hp to spare.
Game 5 (Win) - Again Tstar didn't pull creatures early and had a bad 1 pillar start. This game really was the only one not a nailbiter. Got out to a quick damage lead and had an early arsenic. He managed to pull his nightmare out near the end with me only having one card in my hand but it wasn't enough and i won by a full 2 turns this time.
Typically i get blown out or blow people out so this was one of the more exciting/stressful games i've played. I don't think we either made any mistakes and it basically came down to me having better RNG here. Thanks again for the games Tstar.
