I had one more card in my deck, so deck-out wasn't an option for him. I had a large amount of CC, so his adrena-devourers never lasted long. And when I drew my Reflective Shield, his Drain Lifes became useless. He just didn't have enough damage in his deck.
Game 1: The dark mark worried me. At first, I thought Steals, which worried me for a moment; then I realized almost nothing of mine could be used against me. Then, I realized he was going to use Drain Lives to win. I made sure he didn't have enough damage to try a one-turn kill. It was a slow game where we both tried to build quanta for our bolts. His Stiletto made it take even longer. No deflags, unfortunately. Thank you, Fire Bolts.
Game 2: Even slower game, but roughly the same. When I finally drew my second bolt at six cards left, I bolted the remainder of his health.
