I was going to use a different deck (which probably would have won by deckout, looking at his deck), but we changed to this after some thinking.

We didn't expect hope and luciferin, so good job with that. But solely mark of time to power the deja vus wasn't enough in the face of devourers I guess. Good games; they probably could have gone either way if I had gotten worse draws and you had gotten better ones.

Game 1: I actually never played hope, instead I tried to outrush him. But unfortunately, dusk mantle stopped me in my tracks. It got to the point where i had 3 4|4 creatures, one 1|1, and a morning star with him at 20 health. I needed 5 hits in a row to win. I got 2, and he won with 9 health.

Game 2: His devourers seemed to avoid my :time quanta, so I was able to get 5 luci'd creatures out fairly quickly, then hope with about 30-40 health left, I think. Then I got another deja, split it, and couldn't draw a luciferin to get up to 7 damage block.

Ah well, we knew this one would be hard. 4-2 is still possible I believe.

Both games were pretty darn close, I'd say.
Light is not going to give up though, right? I underestimated you guys.

Puppychow, nice playing  :P

I knew light would put up a good fight and be able to win against earth, close is close. It sounded intense. Good job both of you and congratulations to earth!

Ugh.  Lady Luck has betrayed us.  Two matches lost because of bad draws.  So close.  So close.
