SG ruled it as re-game with General bonus intact so both can still play using the original decklist no matter whos actually the one playing (hence my comment above)

Nilsie's deck was mainly focused on destroying all our pillars, so fractalling 2 cost creatures is much, much easier and efficient than 7 cost creatures.

You can use upgrades as long as you fight the battle, is my understanding. And I can assure you, that is what everyone on team wants. nilsie and I recently completed a 12 lives match-up where we were able to find a time; if no one else on can meet with you ASAP (like, the next 12-18 hours or so), I'm more than willing to find another time with you. I am not 100% comfortable stepping in for kevkev since I'm not a prominent member of the elements community that I know he trusts, but if no one else can meet you, I'm sure we can find the time. We don't want either team to be out a victory because of scheduling, we just want the match done right.
