When I saw the Earth mark I was able to sigh a bit of relief because I had tested extensively vs. his previous round deck and it did very well. The BB's threw me for a loop, but I figured I could spam enough creatures that I could make a game of it. That was really all I was hoping for in a match vs. a General with 8 ups.
Game 1:
I played a couple of graboids, he played a turn 2 gravity shield that really slowed me down when a turn 3 elite oty hit the field. I was able to get some extra damage on the field with some blessed peggies that were soon BB'd. He then played two dragons one after another, but I was able to get the oty lightning'd and start the damage race with two graboids and a damage lead vs. two dragons. It came down to the last turn and I thought I was done for and pulled a momentum. With a blessing in hand, I blessed one of my formerly BB'd graboids and momentum'd as well, giving me the exact amount of damage for the win. I was sweating bullets and really got bailed out by the RNG.
Game 2:
My draw seemed to counter his well. I drew lightning for his oty in succession, drew my deflag right after he played his gravity shield. I was thinking maybe i should have held it, but was still a little fearful of his PA. His BBs slowed me down a little this game, but he never played a dragon and only drew one SS. I rolled to a fairly convincing mid 60's HP victory this game.
GG's TNG, you definitely had the first one wrapped up and a last minute heroic play must have hurt. You are always a great opponent and I enjoy playing you.
