why are we complaining about SEC here?
air faced a 12/12 upped deck from life, a 20/15 upped deck from death via SEC, a 15/15 upped deck from time and a 12/12 upped deck from aether that was fed 6 relics. from the matches air has played this round i would say that SEC helped air more than it hurt, running 12 upped voids on a mercenary build is much stronger than 5 more upps on a monodeath

This is true. Didn’t read rob’s post about use of relics. Not that it would have changed the outcome. Once rob figured out how to play correctly, all he needed was early arse to win.

yes because during teambuilding i was able to test knowing is ups or if i was going to waste relic on him playing with 0 ups for helping other teammates

Not just this, but you sent yourself to the movies, instead of a soldier role. In so doing, you had less upgrades to spread around your other decks. You blame the SEC for making you a target, but really, it's an equalizer. It allows teams to shuffle around resources to better suit troublesome matchups. Currently, air's a nasty monster that people feel threatened by, which means more resources will be allocated against you. That's the fate of being the BEST performer in this event.

So, the purpose of ECs and SECs are to “equalize” the playing field by hurting strong teams? We were a target well before this EC/SEC was posted, blaming the target on our back because of the SEC is a ridiculous notion. But giving teams the potential power to overwhelm a “threat” is not balanced or fair. The SEC was not used against us in this way this round, but no reason it couldn’t happen next round, or the round after that. The purpose of ECs are to enhance war by introducing mechanics that have subtle effects. Ones that have potential huge effects are heavily criticized and at times can destroy a team’s chance at wining war in later rounds.

I’ve made my suggestion for how to balance the SEC for the next 2 rounds in the R4 thread. This discussion should be held there.

The purpose of EC is to make things interesting. Strong teams steamrolling weak teams with minimal odds of success isn't interesting. Even with EC boost, strong teams should still be favored in the matchups if they are strong teams. Your concerns might hold more weight if a team was impacted by EC in a significantly unfair way (looking at you, War 4 R10), but that hasn't happened.

if strong teams are so strong what is the point of the ec if it doesn't change nothing? there is no logic in this, strong teams are strong because invest time in testing, this ec remove the testing part
even the smallest possibility for a team being impacted by an ec shouldn't exist, u want to do this? make a pvp event based on it, revamp factions revamp do what u want but stop stacking ideas for 2 or 3 competitions in the same event

after 10 wars still isn't clear u need to follow a logic and keep it for all the event for make that event appealing, this year how much veterans are back for playing this war? how much new forum members who signed less 6 six months ago are here playing this war? 3 months of discussing before starting war for still keep doing the same mistakes over and over and over
