However, you can be a sport, you know it's a mistake of a mark, not some delusional version of yours with nightmares, i kind of cringed when i read that.
I honestly don't care about this win, 0-5 5-0 w/e.


How about instead of focusing on this match we continue to the bigger picture.

I did a mistake in WC and put 6 marks of fire in my deck and won all matches, my opponent realized it and I lost, however I never saw trident or EQ, there.

I simply recognize my defeat without complain or drama

So, majofa played the wrong deck entirely vs me in round 3, which is an obvious honest mistake. Why did you guys not argue/appeal to WMs to replay the match for a penalty using the correct deck?

I never really thought about that side. What if regardless of the mark change, the outcome wouldn't have changed? Would there be all this drama? If not, why? Why do we only care about this if the outcome would change? Shouldn't we care about it being ruled consistently regardless if the outcome would change or not?

Now you are being silly. Its a team's choice whether they think a penalty is worth it to try and win or not.

I remember in one of the most recent pvp events, not sure which, illegal decks were only caught if they'd won, as illegal losing decks didn't matter. I think this was Rootranger's Devil's Gate, but not 100% sure.

I just played a bo5 in trainer of what my match vs majofa was supposed to be (AI played my deck, I played majofa's), and aether deck won 3-2 with 3 of the matches being decided by cointoss.

While I'm sure my deck was favored to win, it was in no way a counter, and RNG surely could have changed the outcome. Plus you felt it was better to give us free aether salvage, the team that everyone hates, the general that everyone hates, because everything about aether is OP. Very interesting.

I think you didn't ask to replay because you thought that rules wouldn't allow it. If one of my teammates played a wrong deck for an entire match, I would consider that 0-5 or 0-3 without hesitation. It wouldnt have even have crossed my mind to ask WM for penalty and replay, even if our real deck was a counter to whatever they brought.

On a side note, I completely misread the rules for grandmaster battle vs Root. I guess I could have asked for a replay of sorts, but I would never even consider that after having started and almost completing the match. Root became grandmaster because I made an honest mistake, and there was no point in arguing it from my perspective.

This is a really hard case.
In 90% of the cases you can't be sure if the so called misstake truly is a "misstake". At the same time it's always sad to see a team lose due to a silly misstake like this. I know myself after losing to a suicide deck for having one to few earth cards in the deck, which didn't only cost me the game but the whole war 
No matter how silly you think the rules are in this case the rules are quite clear. No changes after deadline. If the rules aren't consistent we may let people change the deck code after deadline in clear cases like this. However what a clear case is will create lots, lots of discussion and drama in other matches.
I personally think that the ruling should be as follows: Teams may not change their deck code after deadline unless their opponent agrees to do so before the game starts.
In the same way as people have to ask for salvage when double subbing a round.

This isn't about aether hate either, stop making yourself a victim too.

Would you agree to a rule change for NEXT times where there is a case like this?
A complete loss is too harsh on a mistake like this, yet i'm not asking  you to give up this match or do anything that hurts you right now.
What's your stand on cases like this? no bias
