No idea what you are talking about with "they could get 5"... 3 is the max relics one can win in a match.

And sure rol hope counters this deck easy, but other entropy decks with discord may be more effective as hope may get up too late. More RoLs means more quanta and less trolling by discord.

well if ather uses only 4 upps cards, soldier is forced to use 6 always? I don't know about this sorry then

You do NOT get relics depending on how many less ups you were using. You get 1 (One) relic for each game you win if you have less upgrades than you opponent. In this match, aether had less ups than their opponent, and aether won 3 games. This means they get 3 relics. As long as aether had used less than 9 ups in this match, they would still get 3 relics.
