I might not have been clear enough in the last post. First, the activity win isn't the main factor here, I simply included it to show how the situation would go without the appealed game. I've been told that light was only available for sub on the last day. And history shows that though jijo was online after the desync was caught, he was unavailable to play and left till deadline. In such a condition the effort to play was clearly made by water.
And the main thing which solidifies the decision is that Water appealed the game 5a (the one before the desync error game), and it's a clear win for them from the screenshots. Other WMs might rule nymph games/early dcs a replay on principle, but if a game is decided at the point of dc then replay is just a waste of time. I wrote the rules to ensure that better gameplay is rewarded, and strategies such as nt aren't disadvantaged by the game's connections.
Note how I use words like solidify, because these rulings are liquid. They are based on a holistic evaluation of the situation (blame college apps). I'm trying to make war the best experience for everyone and help keep this community alive, and all rulings center around that. Of course if you disagree, feel free to have a civil argument about it.
