Details and deck later. Sorry dictator. No one should have to go through the crap we both did with the desync debate.

Got my first taste of War drama, let's hope not a lot of it happens again.

EDIT:

I'll try to keep it as short as possible -- Dic said a lot of what I wanted to say for the summaries already.

Deck I used:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55k 55l 55l 55l 55m 55o 55o 55s 55s 55s 55t 562 562 562 745 745 745 8pl

Match #1: LOSS
Was really nervous because the rest of the team had all won their matches already -- I was afraid I'd go down as the only loss. We anticipated either Mono-Water with RTs or Lightnings, and were hoping for RTs. Saw the Aether mark and immediately felt dread. Tried to hold my creatures in hand so I could play a Charger and Dragon at the same time. Unfortunately Dic had the CC he needed to get rid of the Charger, then played his own Dragon. I made a mistake by not playing my sole GP on his Dragon to kill it (though it may not have made a difference), and he outdamaged me easily.

Match #2: WIN
Great starting hand on my part (four pillars), crappy hand on his side. This time I knew to go for his dragons ASAP, though I don't think I encountered one. Once again he got rid of all my Chargers and froze my (Accel'd) Dragon, so that my Titan was my only damage. RNG favored me in the late game -- my Dragon managed to get some damage through in between freezes, and he didn't manage to freeze my Titan.

Match #3: DESYNC (WIN)
He had a great starting hand this time whereas I only had 2 pillars. Slow to play my Titan and an Accel'd Dragon, but I eventually built up enough to play two Chargers at once, hoping to surprise him. He got rid of them and Bolted my Titan, but fortunately for me neither my Armagio or Dragon got frozen. I found out after the fact that we had desync'ed (probably the turn where I Accel'd the Armagio), but since he had lost to my AI he gave me the win.

Accel'd Toad was me messing around.
Match #4: DESYNC (disputed, WMs ruled it as moot)
Man. People can say what they want, but I personally DESPISED this match since the delay meant I had to give up jobhunting for the day. Desynced, we each won on our sides, both AIs played stupidly. Unfortunately some of the drama was caused by declaring the win too early before checking with Dic. Both of our teams started arguing with each other until Dic recommended we take this to a private chat with ddevans overseeing. Dic had calculated all the damage and his argument that he won was logical. However, after about half an hour of this discussion the Warmasters told us to keep playing while they ruled.

Match #5: LOSS
Holy crap. Great game on Dic's part, he had the perfect cards and played them at the right time. I had an Accel'd Dragon out, with my usual tactic of waiting to play two Chargers at once. No such luck -- Dic made a wise decision by playing all his CC (2 Lightning's and an Ice bolt) to kill my Dragon right off the bat, then quickly outdamaged me.

Match #6: WIN
By this point it might've been game over if the WMs hadn't ruled that Match #4 didn't count. So we both logged in again. This match was every bit as intense as it should be -- he got an early Dragon but I luckily had my sole GP in my hand to counter it. No Accels but my 21 damage on the field got him down faster than his three Toads could. I GP'd my Armagio on the last turn but it wasn't necessary, as I survived with 3 HP. Like Dic said, if he had played that Crawler the game would've been his.

Overall, thanks for the games, and for the incredible sportsmanship you showed, Dic. I know it was hugely frustrating for both of us but you didn't rage and you were really calm throughout. Considering all the "drama" I've seen/heard of elsewhere in War and other PvP events I really appreciate that you acted so maturely. I wish you the best of luck in the rest of War.

Oh well, hell of a desync in here.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i6 5i6 5i7 5i8 5i8 5i9 5ie 5ie 5ie 5ie 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 6rk 7gt 7gt 8pu

First match: He showed monogravity and I was relieved, I had the most trouble with their dischole. First match went nice and smooth, drew creature to hit him, lightnings to kill the chargers and a freeze to keep his armagio at bay.

Second match: I started with only one pendulum, and I could draw more pillars very slowly. In the end I threw a bolt at his titan, but it failed to freeze him, and my ice shield didn't do it's job either (on the dragon, IIRC), so I lost.

Third match, good pillar start on my side, low pillars on his side (no second turn titan, yeay), it turned out to be a third turn titan. Sadly I failed to draw my creatures and thus lost quite horribly, we desynced near the end, but I lost against the AI, so I gave him the win.

Fourth match: We both got a good start, and I already claimed a win in one turn in team chat, when Bhlewos GP'd his armagio. The turn after that my flash player almost froze, and we desynced, which resulted in a quite horrible discussion. Bhlewos won on his side, while I was still playing, and vagman already claimed the win in main chat (in a horrible way, whole team water is offended: "[23:02:42] vagman13: I hope turkey took screens in case water doesnt adfmit it"). He was right, we didn't because I won on my side and when comparing screenies is turned out I had a sure win, only lost due to AI bolting a dragon (it required some though though). Anyway, huge fight broke out, vagman wanted that match, to claim a total win for gravity, and in the end Bhlewos and I went to a secret chat room with dd, to let him do the final ruling. While dd and kev (he showed up too) were debating:

Fifth match: I finally got a nice draw, a toad, some CC and a dragon. Later on I drew another toad, and I even managed to kill a dragon with two lightning and an ice bolt, and I outrushed Bhlewos totally.

But, warmasters had decided to call it a rematch, and their ruling is final, so we played another game.

Sixth match: I got a nice start with some 3 pillars, one pendulum, 2 toads and a dragon. I was outrushing him again, but then he dropped a dragon and played a gravity pull on my dragon. I had two turns to win by then, with 3 toads on my side, and empty hand and low quanta, 45 hp's for him. I drew a crawler, but couldn't play it. 27 hp's. I then drew another toad, thus I had 27 damage on the table + in my hand, but I needed 8 quanta to play both the toad and the crawler, and I had only 6.
Anyway, that last game was the most epic game ever, and when pretending the drama never happened (took like 30 minutes), it is definitely among my top 3 of war matches.

Great games Bhlewos, It was an honor to fight you.

And whole team gravity, gratz on 6-0

Someone had to look ugly when this desync happened  if justice was to be enforced and that burden fell on me.I apologise to team water for harsh words but I was desperate to get my team a fair rulling.I did only what was better for my team and what is called fair judgement.

Other than that.Great job bhlewos, leading us to a flawless victory round.Be proud turkey!

Screenshot:

6 from the Long Sword.

On the next turn:

Lightning Bolt the Armagio down to 8 hp, the first Toadfish knocks it to 2 hp, and then the next one kills it.
The Arctic Dragon and the Long Sword hit for 19, for the win.

Did I miss something? If so, I'll delete this post.

From that screenshot it looks like the reality is that game 4 should be water's?  Or am I missing something as well.  I will also delete this post.

Thing is.
In retrospect, knowing what cards the opponent will draw & what you will, perfect play should be water's win.
However, there's no way to guarantee that ''It's evident stuff and i'd have done it anyways here''. This is of course an opinion, and that was what led to warmaster's decision (i think).

Maybe not the right choice of words from vagman but I am glad he stood up for his team. Even though i think it shows water having a win, I am glad the warmasters actually made a ruling before any of the teams were pressured into making a decision.

Yes Majofa, you are right, and I still feel I should have won this matchup, but warmasters ruling is final, and I can see their (and Jenkar's) reasoning.
